I am looking to make 2 changes to my truck (2012 3500 longhorn) and I am looking for some advice. I would like to add Upfitter switches tothe truck, similar to what ford does and I was wondering if ram offered something that was oem. I am looking for something that will be stock looking. I dont want something thatnis going to be screwed into the dash. have also considered cutting into the center console and doing a switch array similar to what is done on the raptor. But before I do this I wanted to know if there is something oem?

My second question is regarding ARB air lockers. I came from the world of hummers/offroading before this truck and came to like having lockers but there is no factory option I can see. There are some dummy switch locations on my longhorn in the center switch array. Is there any oem option? I want to keep the truck looking as stock as possible and yet be a beast :) any help would be appreciated!

You can get a auxiliary switch panel for sure, i think its a stock part on the 4500/5500 models. but i dont think you will be able to install it because it replaces a peice on your dash.

see the part that says ram? you probably dont have it its probably replaced by heated or cooled seats or something like that. if you do have the Ram peice then you can replace that with a switch panel

Agreed with 4x4Hemi. If you have heated seats, then you can't put in the OEM auxiliary switch panel.

As for the dummy buttons in your current switch panel(s), I do not think you can put live ones in. The switch panels have a printed circuit board behind them so you won't be able to integrate another button into it.

The Dodge Ram Chasis trucks have a factory Aux. switch panel on them. You can see it in this picture.

The switch is part number is 5164912AC

The wiring harness part number is 68057288AA:

I am currently in the process of building my own switch using a combination of the stock switch panel and the aux. switch panel. I am printing a new printed circuit board for the original switch location to have eight switches instead of four. Once I get a working product I will post my schematic and probably sell a kit for others to do the same.

There are many, many threads about this.

Thanks for the info! I look forward to seeing this. Maybe I will hold off for a bit before I do anything. Ram can probably learn a few things from their competitors :)

I have been looking into this. I even was thinking of using the 4 upfitter switches from a f250. There nice looking and since I have a console I would mount then right in front of the shifter in that useless little cubby.
