What I don't like about my RAM:
1. Interior rattles. Had to track down and fix a ton of these. Way too many of these for a brand new vehicle. Some of these were a real PITA to eliminate.
2. The lack of paddle shifters. The + and - buttons are too small and poorly placed.
3. Sunroof rattles when fully open, an issue I'll be taking up with the dealer in the near future.
4. The headlights suck. Really projectors should be standard, and the bulbs they use from the factory are complete garbage.
5. The fact that the third brake light leaking has been an issue for years and they still haven't corrected it.
6. No Cabin Air Filter from the factory, yet there's a place for one. Defies logic.
Minor gripes. I love my Big Horn so far!
1) The gear selector knob...several times i forgot to put the truck in park
Not sure what year your truck is, but my 2016 has the option to turn the backup camera on whenever I want.1. No telescoping steering wheel. Us short armed persons suffer.
2. No memory seats even with a loaded sport with leather
3. Headliner rattle around the sunroof. Whole headliner replaced under warranty, we'll see if it stays quiet.
4. No option to turn on backup camera unless in reverse.
5. The cruise message is annoying, haha
6. Wish there was a screen to show you radio info on 7" EVIC, especially when using navigation
Overall I love the truck. One of my favorite features is the shift knob. LOVE IT! No idea why people don't like it. It's an easy reach, plenty far from all other controls and way bigger so have never confused it with anything else. Way better than a dated console shifter, so much more room and feels way more modern. I wouldn't even consider buying a truck with a column shifter. That screams my mom's old woody station wagon. Not to mention it's location is the least easy reach and crazy annoying.
I don't understand this. Sounds more like a memory problem than the gear selector? Lol
im guilty of this myself, one thing to think about, 90% of us are programmed two ways, either a shifter on the steering wheel or a shifter on the floor, and i dont have one on the steering column then mentally i go into manual truck programming and in that case "park" isnt an option, my 08 is a manual and my 13 is an auto and neither have a column shifter so i have a brain fart when driving the 13 sometimes, ill even reach for the invisible shifter that isnt there lol
All black ram, but came with grey interior and headliner. Should have got a crew cab (next time). Did not get the limited slip or 3.92 gears. Up in the great white North, the limited slip would have been nice.
All black headliner only on the limited.

Interesting. I guess I'm just different. I've gone from sport car manual, to shifter automatic, to dial selector, to truck manual, to column shifter...all throughout my life, and never had any problem adapting. My first exposure to dial selector was when I got a rental. Instantly fell in love with it. Never understood why someone would waste so much space on those huge automatic shifters in the center console.
i just get in a mode and a habit, now that i jump from one to the other frequently i dont have an issue, but personally i hate the dial shifter, i prefer the one on the steering column
