Got my JBA shorties installed but I am thinking I may have a leak, not sure though could just be hearing the normal ticking better now. I really hope there isn't a leak as I don't know if I can make myself go back in there again. This install made putting long tubes on my '02 Z28 look like a walk in the park. I haven't taken it for a drive yet as I am not done with the rear shocks but that should make it obvious if there is a leak.

On a side note while I was crawling around under the truck I found signs that the transmission might have been pulled in the past. There were a couple brackets hanging without bolts for the transmission lines and some other cables but everything else looked good.
Did you use mopar gaskets? I've heard other brands tend to leak

One of the biggest differences I found in the sound of my exhaust was when I installed the 5" tips. The sound became a lot deeper and mellower(sp). I have a Magnaflow 22".

I am definitely going to look into the 5” tips. Yesterday I put over 300 miles on the truck. Took the wife with me since, she has super sensitive hearing, to see if she noticed any drone or annoyingly loud noise. All went well!! I’m really loving this muffler!

Those 5" tip ain't cheap but I was really surprised by the difference in tone. I think Matt keeps them in stock and they are pretty easy to put on. I had mine tacked on just to deter someone one from trying to take them.

Technically, I used Fel-Pro which is the manufacturer of the Mopar gasket. They were identical to the ones I took off. I honestly think I may have just not gotten them torqued properly. Some of those bolts were almost impossible to get anything on them to tighten.

Installed Westin running boards on the beast last night. Christmas present from my parents. The Fiancée is much happier and now I can start thinking about a leveling kit :p

Rolled my 2014 1500 past the 110,000 mile point. All trouble free miles.

Makes me feel a little better about my '15 with 85k. Only issue other than recalls were the dreaded manifold bolts....

Over the last month I installed a Ranchhand front bumper, got my manifold bolts replaced, put on an 18" magnaflow and had my son put on the light bar today... set up with the homelink. Next up, wheel spacers.

Just the recalls for me and the regular oil changes every 9000 miles or so. It's so reliable I've named it Trigger, my trusty steed.

Would like to know how you setup the light bar with the homelink...

Is $150 for a used mufflex 18” magnaflow a good deal? Some surface rusting on it.
