I recently ordered a PC ( PC07) for my 19 ram 1500. I followed the instructions closely, I sealed both keys in an empty ammo can which I put in the basement about 40 feet away. Left the truck alone for 10 minutes with the door open, installed the PC, went and got the key, started truck and got a throttle error and traction control error. I would have to step on the throttle more than half way for the engine to rev slightly. So I shut the truck off and removed the PC. I disconnected the battery for 15 the code went away.

I figured something in the truck was still powered so I tried again, this time I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, tried installing the PC again, reconnected the battery, when I powered up the truck the same thing occurred. so I removed the PC.

In order to clear the code I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes again ( I just ordered the diagnostic tool to clear the error without having to disconnect battery)

I am going to call PC on Tuesday morning to see if they can help me troubleshoot. PC just came out with the module for the 2019 Ram so I must a Ginny pig.

I'm guessing the 19 has some quirks that PC has to figure out how to overcome or I have a bad unit.

It must be a bad unit as mine has worked flawlessly. The great part is their customer service is beyond reproach and they will get you up and running asap. Also if you are still not feeling comfortable about it, returning it is a breeze. Good luck and please keep us posted.

There are a bunch of 2019 owners with these. The bugs are worked out but maybe you got one that was DOA. Definitely talk to PC today and see what they say.

Did you get the errors as soon as you started it or when you hit the throttle?

If the install was 100% correct it sounds like it may be a bad unit. I would call Pedal Commander. They can walk you thru a couple things and if it's bad they will start the warranty process.

Update on the situation...

So I called Moe's Performance for a refund ( I was going to return it and buy one again in a few months). The sales rep was very nice and helpful. He said he would process the return If I wanted but suggested I tried this first... Download the PC app from the app store 2)Plug the PC unit back in 3)power up the PC unit by turning on the ignition 4) pair the PC to the phone 5) update the firmware of the PC unit using the phone 6) and then start the truck and see if that worked.

The Moe's rep was saying that because the PC07 for the 2019 was so new that many were being produced with the old firmware and not working when installed on the 2019. He said that there were a bunch of 2019 owners who were having this problem.

I followed his instructions up to step 5, however I could not find the prompt on the app to update the firmware. I was about to call him back when I had a hunch and decided to try and start the engine to see if it would work. When I stated it everything was working properly. So I don't know why but pairing the phone to the PC unit with the ignition on ( not running ) fixed the issue.

How are you guys liking your trucks with the PC installed? I definitely noticed a difference right away, and that was with City minus 4. What modes are you using? I I'm currently alternating between City -1, City and City +1. Anything higher, although I like the responsiveness when I lay into the gas, it sometimes jerks slightly as I begin accelerating.

Overall i'm liking the PC so far.

I’m at city “0” and that suits me just fine. I was on Sport +1 but was accelerating too quickly from lights and causing unwanted attention lol.

That's awesome... I like having the ability to "turn it up" for some fun. I'm going to have my wife try driving it and set it to Sport Plus (+4) without her knowing. Ill just have to make sure nothing is in front of us or even near us.

Sorry if I'm hijacking a thread.

Has anyone added a PC on an eTorque engine?
Just hooked one up to my Big Horn 5.7 eTorque.
got an engine light.
unit works, but auto on/off won't engage when stopped.
took it off and auto on/off workedagain, but the engine light remains on.
I'll disconnect battery to clear the code.
any eTorque and PC experience?
thanks
George.

I installed the PC on my non-eTorque 2019 last night and don't seem to have any issues. One question for the mechanical people out there though. Are we sure using PC and the Pulsar together is ok? I saw online, possibly on the PC website, that if you have a tune you should keep throttle sensitivity to stock if using PC. I am pretty sure the Pulsar adjusts throttle sensitivity as well. I just don't want to mess anything up. I can certainly tell the difference, just don't feel like breaking anything.

We have many customers running both and prefer to run the PC with the Pulsar. Just adjust the PC to a lower setting. The Pulsar can be a bit jumpy on the higher levels so most will throttle the PC down a bit as the go up in levels on the Pulsar.

I'm finding this thread very interesting. I will be honest to say that I just recently found out about the Pedal Commander. I think this is something that I would really like.
Guys that are running the PC on their 2019's ...I think I need some advice about purchasing this. Is this only available from the manufacturer as I'm in Canada. Some things are not always available over here. Do you guys recommend I go for this...Guess I just need to be set straight.

New to the forum and to the full-size truck world. :hidesbehindsofa: That being said. What exactly does the pulsar tuner and pedal commander do for the truck. I’ve read some on the pedal commander but would really appreciate some information on both and the benefits they provide in laymen’s terms. :worship::waytogo:

Glad you got it fixed. These issues only seem to happen on the Bluetooth PC's, not sure why. I have the non blueBluetversion, and it has worked flawlessly in 4 different vehicles

Welcome to the forum, its full of friendly members and great info.

Pedal Commander is a throttle response controller. It will get rid of the lag and the dead spot the throttle has. It will make the truck feel much quicker and really just make daily driving more enjoyable. You can NOT simulate what a PC does with your foot. Its one of those things that you wont know just how good it is until you try it. its well worth it. also it will not effect your warranty and installs and is removed in less than a minute. You can check it out here
https://gotexhaust.com/i-23688012-2...le-response-controller-p4-pc07-bluetooth.html

If you would like to purchase it you can use promo code PC10 at checkout for 10% off and free shipping!

The Pulsar is a tuner that lets you change hp settings on the fly. since it is a piggy back tuner it is untraceable if you need to get warranty work done. Simply unplug it before any warranty work. Check it out here

Contact me for a quote if interested.

Many people run both of these as it helps to really fine tune the truck to their liking. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
