I'm trying to get my power seat to work. The fuse is good, but there's no power at all to the entire board. Up/down/front/back nothing works at all. I don't hear anything when I push them, so I don't think it's a motor issue.

Has anyone else dealt with this? There are plenty of threads about them being off track or motors buzzing and not moving, but that's no the case here. Any advice would be appreciated!

Did you possibly shove something up under the seat that knocked the wire harness loose...? Sounds silly, but it happens.

Gonna take a look tomorrow. I'm going to pull the seat off the frame and make sure. It was my brothers truck and he's got kids.. anything is possible!

Did you check the circuit breaker for it in the fuse panel?

I took the seat out. I put 12v to the motors, they power up. The switch reads only .3-4v when activated at the plugs going to the motors.. thinking it's got to be the switch.

Found this under the dash. What in the world does it go to? Green plug with yellow/blue and a black wire.

Update, the dangling plug is for a neutral safety switch if I were to have a manual.

Replaced the switch, still nothing. I have power @ the red and blue wire under the seat so I know the problem is behind that point.. but I still can't seem to figure it out.

If you've confirmed power coming in (Pin 1 Red/Light Blue) and got a new switch and it still doesnt work, check for ground. Should be the black wire, pin 2 I believe. Its great to have power, but if it has nowhere to go then its useless.

Thank you, I will check that in the morning!

Sounds like you could possibly have a short to ground. Follow the wire looking for anywhere the plastic coating is wore off causing it to touch metal on the vehicle.

Thanks, I looked into that and found a bit more than I bargained for. I figured it's already broke, so why not? I need 3 new motors so I will end up buying a second hand power seat rail. All 3 motors were mangled. I'm not sure what happened as they weren't working for the previous owner.

Makes sense, if the motors are completely shot they won't even be buzzing. The drivers seat in my '04 is bad(still buzzes) but I ain't too worried bout it...its in Purdy much the perfect place 4 me already
