Does anyone have OEM black exhaust tips?

I've seen lots of photos of moe's, carven & other aftermarket exhaust tips. Does anyone have photos of a blacked out set of oem exhaust tips on their truck?

Curious how it looks.

To be clear you mean oem tips that have been blacked out after the fact, not ones that come black from the factory since that is not an available option?

Yep, added after the fact, I don't mean black from the factory. Although it's kind of a shame they never did that.

That looks really nice, the matte matches the badges really well. Could you still peel the dip off? The risk of heat from the exhaust would make me nervous with plastdip.

Yeah you can peel it off if u wanted to go back. Held up great for almost a year, then i finally got carven tips and took em off, plasti dip still looked great. No heat issues at the tips. Cost about $10.

That's good to hear the heat didn't effect it. I have tons of extra cans of black dip, I used red on my tow hooks. I may end up going that route if I can't find a set of/ end up powder coating my tips.

i had plasti dipped the tips on my 2011 ram but I can say that after it baked on there was no way it was just peeling off.

I assumed the heat would bake the dip on pretty good, generally why I've avoided this route.

I'm not sure what diameter pipe they fit on. They are at my buddy's house (@CincyCuda68 ), maybe one of us can measure them here soon and let you know.

tremclad high heat spray can ..7 bucks .sand with 120 and your done
