My 2019 1500 truck only has 43000 called today about the glove box not closing all the way and light staying on, they will not cover because of the 3600 mile warranty even though a lot of people are having same problems, If this is the way they treat the Dodge owners I am going to recommend that people not buy I know that I will not by another

If I was 7,000 miles out of standard warranty, I would expect to pay for things like that. If you were 100 miles out of warranty, maybe your dealer would have covered it. Mine would have (and has on previous vehicles), how's your relationship with your Dealer?

He has a great point! And a great idea, let's boycott when something is not free!!

My shoulder is starting to wear out, the doc says it's going to cost thousands to semi repair it. Do you think I should go after my parents to pay for it - I mean after all aren't they my maker and shouldn't their work be covered for my life for free??

"they will not cover because of the 3600 mile warranty even though a lot of people are having same problems"
Ps. I have noticed a rash of glove box complaints on here and other forums lately due to the owner over stuff crap in them and bending the latching mechanism.
PSS. Oh wait, nope this is the only complaint I have read about this problem in quite a while it seems.

Why do people get triggered so easily these days over the dumbest of problems in their lives??

Don't think getting upset at FCA not covering something that far out of warranty is reasonable, but also agree the door should last longer. But things break. Perhaps you could reach a compromise with your dealership and see if they will sell the parts at dealer cost. I would try talking with your sales person if they are still there, parts office really has no reason to sell parts cheap, but sales person may want to try to keep a possible future customer happy. Maybe calling customer service line and calmly describing your issue and dismay at something breaking so soon, and asking if they can make a good will gesture of offering the part for free, then if they don't ask if they would sell at dealer cost. Maybe not what you want, but you might get it fixed for best possible price and you aren't seeing broken part all the time. From past experience in customer service, nice has a better chance, they get enough nasty every day. Good luck, hope it works out.

Warranty was signed and agreed upon at time of purchase,if you did not like it then why did you buy it? Find an independent shop to fix it if you feel your dealer is honoring his side of warranty.

Did you join the forum yesterday to complain about the glove box that is out of warranty? Maybe you should have a bought an extended warranty to cover your RAM longer than 36,000 miles.

I did buy the extended warranty, not covered under the warranty, I joined to complain about the problem because there have been multiple complaints about this happening, I know that they cannot cover problems out of warranty but when it is a defective part and people are having trouble they should be responsible for the repair, the customer service said that if they have a recall they would repair

Definitely should sell the truck and purchase some other brand. Also, picket in front of the RAM dealer spinning a sign that says "Don't but a RAM. They won't fix minor stuff after the warranty has expired" and drive around in your new Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan or whatever with one of those big signs in the bed that says "I sold my RAM because the glove box light broke and RAM won't fix it because I am way out the warranty period." That will show them.

I am on several forums and first I have heard of it altho not saying there have not been failures just not that i have heard about, and if it would have failed prior to 36000 they would have repaired it. 43000 is a fair amount over. were you having trouble prior to hitting 36K?
