Yeah the wheel thing is really a difficult thing to swallow. If I lived much closer to the dealer I'd be pretty adamant about them just getting 4 new wheels and making it right. Because I live 300 miles away, my time and gas money is more important. If I get a free 35" spare setup out of the deal though I figure that's probably around 700 bucks after it's all said and done and I don't think that's terrible. But at the end my rims are still moderately scratched up.

300 miles isn't close. The Ram dealership that we purchased our Power Wagon from is a 298 mile drive one way per Google Map from our home in Western Colorado to Sandy, Utah. Stopping at an In-N-Out Burger near SLC made the 10 hour round trip drive more pleasant to purchase the truck, but no matter what 300 miles is a long drive.

No doubt. On a side note why the hell do these 8 speed transmissions shift so soon out of first? Half the time when I slow roll around a corner it won’t even drop gears. I guess i need to drive the **** out of it. Haha

it does sound like you have something strange going on with your shift points. Hopefully you get it sorted. Too bad you could not find a set of stock tires to try for a while and see how it responds at least you would know if it were just the speedo not being properly calibrated.

Ive never driven the 8 speed in the hd’s yet, but have logged 65k miles on my half ton work truck with it and i would think they are pretty much the same. That is basically how it works with mine, too. If i come to a stop sign and do a slow roll it may not even drop into first gear at all. Thats the whole point of the added gears though….keeps everything in the power band.

Drives me nuts getting in my power wagon and the fawker dosnt shift out of second gear until im going like 45-50 mph.

Settled on them buying me my new wheel, another tire, sensor, and cutting me a check for $400 bucks. Wash my hands of the situation.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me. The scrapes are not horribly noticeable, and there will most likely be more coming anyway.

Kinda my thought. They aren’t going to let their guys do aftermarket wheels again. Lol. I’ll get it mounted at a discount tire.

Yea….well….the wife just got back from discount tire having her 305/45/22 toyos rotated and balanced on her stock tahoe high country wheels. They have center caps that have to be popped off to get to the lugs. Each wheel is scraped up where the little indent is located to pry them off. Fockers. You just cant win ugh.

I have been eying the borla. How does it compare to stock? I have heard a few people say it's not much more aggressive than stock. I don't want super loud but I don't want to spend the money if there isn't much difference.

yeah it's not a lot louder than stock but it does have a little more rumble. You can hear it now anyways whereas you couldn't hear the stock **** at all if that makes any sense. It's nothing compared to the gibson though. That was a lot louder on a cold start. I really technically haven't hear a true cold start yet. I'm sure my engine was still warm because I took the OEM off immediately and got the other stuff on within an hour. I do like it though. Gets rid of that lame resonator in the back and it's a pile lighter.

And it’s definitely gnarlier on a cold start. Much better. I’d buy it if I were you.
