The question is more like has anyone that ordered an HD this year not encountered this.

Having said that, I appear to be one of the lucky ones. Mine was ordered 3/30, built 8/23. It went to Shipped on 8/30, but I didn't believe it. Figured it was sitting on a railcar in Mexico. Got notified yesterday that it was at the dealer. Online tracker says it was delivered 9/27. So less than a month from Shipped to Delivered. I was expecting that to take 3 months.

Mine is pretty much fully optioned 2500 Limitied Longhorn. CTD, mega, rambox, sunroof, full safety packages, air suspension, etc.
You must be one of the lucky ones. Mine was a fully optioned 3500 long bed limited. I am now getting a large chunk of my money back this Saturday and most likely won't get it because the truck has not shipped yet and it's sat in mexico for almost 4 months. I have an older truck to get me by for a few years where hopefully this won't be an issue. Most likely not going with a ram either after this experience Even as much as I like the cummins.

Sorry to hear that. But I've heard the other brands are not any better at building HD's on time right now. I wish you luck however you decide to go.

The 23s are starting to schedule production, when they are built will they have priority over our trucks sitting in the lost and found

I am being told mine will be delivered between the 12th & 15th of December. I am not getting my hopes up as this rail strike is getting closer & closer. I was told mine was to arrive in Nashville by rail on the 4th & then be trucked the rest of the way. It's been so long since I have ordered it, I have forgotten what all I ordered! :laughing1:

Just got another text from my dealer & he said he received notification that the truck was offloaded from the train last night. Whew! At least now I don't have to worry about the rail strike. Now hopefully there will be a truck heading this way sometime soon.

I hope you have Aisin trans and not the 68 rfe, if you have the 68 there was a national stop order out due to recall ZA3...

Nope got the rfe. Maybe that is part of why it has taken so long. It has been built since June 14th. I would hope with it sitting there all this time that they would have fixed any recall items! If not, there will be another a$$ chewing!!! :argue:

Attached the recall ZA3, at this time they do not have a fix for the 68rfe auto transmissions... BTW note at that federal law requires recalls be completed before delivery, not sure how they can deliver to you your truck when no fix is available, my truck is include in this recall so I know for sure they have no fix per my local Ram SA... EDIT: Is it possible they can get around not being required to fixing it before delivery because its a special order?

My 2500 finished assembly on August 12 and has been sitting in Mexico ever since. RAM executive staff should be fired.......

No according to my dealership it has been off loaded at Nashville. My 2016 2500 was off loaded at Nashville as well, & then trucked to the dealership via a hot shot rig.

Oh how frustrating this purchase has been! The dealer confirmed my truck is in this recall. It's actually called a stop sale recall, because they cannot currently sell any of these trucks in the recall. My truck is finally going to get here after about a year of waiting but I can't drive it or even take possession! I would like to know what the exact problem is. So far I have just heard issues with the 68rfe tranny. Must be pretty bad if they have to stop selling.

Problems is some trans are building up pressure & forcing fluid up the dip stick tube, that fluid my come in contact with hot exhaust an could cause a fire, have read that so far 16 trucks have had AFT catch on fire, also read that the MIL warning comes one before this happens... Local SA told me if your not having problems don't worry, I trust this SA as they too own a truck included in this recall and that truck is parked in an attached garage every night...

Dealer told me my truck has finally arrived... but here is the kicker... the transmission fix won't happen until February or March! So apparently it is going to sit in their lot now for a few months. It's not like I can even say screw it & purchase a different truck somewhere else. They nearly are all on the recall. I think this thing is cursed & I haven't even taken possession yet!

Sorry, unsure of your abbreviations. Is AFT ATF? Not sure what MIL and SA refer to. If MIL is some kind of warning on the EVIC, that would be good info to have.

Personally, I bought a fire extinguisher for my on the recall truck. I don't drive it much anyway, but feel better about having something along to put a fire out with.

Sorry spell check can be worthless, yes to ATF not AFT, MIL is malfunction indicator light, SA = service department Service Advisor aka SW Service Writer, I'm not going to worry unless I see a sign of problems like high Trans temps or burnt oil smell..

Our 2500 is also caught up in this recall. It is still in Mexico, built, sad, and lonely. Our dealer could not give us any idea on when that would be fixed. How reliable is your information on Feb or March timeframe?
