Interrupted Delivery Schedule

Very disappointed. I ordered a 2500 Long Horn in February and watched it go through the stages and even shipped. The truck arrived at the local rail yard in Orlando on April 9. It is now May 8 and the truck is still there. It hasn't moved. The dealer's salesman made up a lot of stories about missing keys of vehicles blocking mine in and theft of keys from the shipment that caused the whole car load to be impounded as evidence ... The dealer finally has brought in a "problem solver" who upon contacting Ram says the problem is trucking from Orlando to the dealer and there are some cars in the way that need to be processed before they can get to mine. Can't really start the process over again but this is really aggravating.

Yes, it can be a frustrating process, no doubt. A lot of folks waited a year to get their Ram HD's delivered last year. Mine took 6 months and I felt lucky. Hope your truck shows up soon.

Thanks, I know it is worth the wait but it is frustrating knowing it is sitting there waiting for me.

As my salesperson told me after mine sat many weeks at the rail yard 75 miles from the dealership, that the rail road workers seem to only work a few hours a day and there is no way to make them work any faster as they are Union..

My truck sat in the shipping process for 2 months and when it arrived at the dealer it had obvious post production body work, very bad bodywork. Did not take delivery of truck.

Another long conversation with the dealer. They say it is now due to the lack of CDL drivers to transport from the rail yard to the dealership. The trucks are delivered in order of date ordered, so I just need to be patient and it will eventually get here. They said it was a Stellantis problem and the dealer has ZERO control. I threatened to cancel and reorder from another dealer but no pressure I put on them can change the situation. Playing the waiting game.

The dealer is stuck in the middle of this mess. They really can't do anything about it as they are just the messenger. You are doing well compared to many and at least have your truck in the states. This Mexico RAM delivery issue is hard to believe. My saga is detailed below. Some others have been out for over a year now with their 2022 models.

I have contacted the "RAM Cares" people multiple times. They have no interest in answering questions about delivery times.

Some of the problem is the rail road and the other is they FCA do not want to pay current shipping rates so have to wait for those who are willing to accept dirt cheap shipping rates they want to pay the transport companies, would you want to accept low pay rates that at times only allows the company to break even for transporting a vehicle to the dealership...

Update. Now May 29, 2023 and the truck is stuck in Orlando rail yard. No further response from anyone. Truck has been sitting in current position since April 9 almost 2 months to transport less than 100 miles.

Still waiting.
