Finally sent original tune and last written tune to Sean and waiting to try his famous tunes and compare it with diablo Custom tunes, what you all think before i try and compare them please feedbacks ...

will do the catch can Matt i should have ordered the catch can when i ordered the S&B and the 87mm TB long time ago , i want to compare between Sean's tune and Johan's at diablosport tune, i cant wait to get Sean's tune to start comparing to see which one will be faster

Good question.... guess it depends on if you want more power. But yes when you start adding more and more mods, the custom tune brings out the best in each mod and ties them together nicely. On a couple occasions i have test driven my truck with all the mods on the stock tune and it is night and day. Just doesnt drive the same. Like an orchestra without the director

I did all my mods within driving the truck even 100 km's. So I couldn't remember what stock felt like. After adding everything BUT the headers I couldn't tell any difference, or thought I couldn't.

After the headers though, I really felt like I started to notice something. I Attribute it to the culmination of ALL mods, and am hoping for a decent pickup for Seans modifeied tune.

WHENEVER I actually get my ass into gear and log info for him.

ok but like my truck, im not going to do anything more than the usual bolt ons.

so far i have the vararam and 18" weld on Magnaflow. The only other thing im gonna add is the 87mm throttle body, would you all say thats enough to need a custom tune?

I, like most of you, am waiting for the 2013 Diablo tuner to come out, and on another thread it was said that the Trinity tuner would come with a free custom tune from hemifever.

yes ,plus with custom tune you ll have more power and better performance.
also put on your mod list 180 tstat and a catch can.

You could get his custom tune with a stock engine and it would be worth it. Those mods will only help the tune be all that it can be.

Downloaded the tune and did some tweaks took truck for short drive, idk almost tiny little better than my previous custom tunes from diablo but spins less at take off and when kick down at speed between 40-45mph doesn't go to first gear and pull hard as my previous custom tune (under speed of 40mph it dose now) throttle sensitivity not sensitive as previous tune (little less) but i think between 60mph till 85mph improved and i like the way it shifts , maybe its because i was expecting a big night and day difference idk i have to test it good and see difference, this is just the first impression and as i said i didn't drive the truck long enough ( if it was my first custom tune i will be so so impressed with his clean lovely tune,that doesn't mean am not impressed now but am expecting more ), i e mailed Sean telling him all that so he is waiting a data log which i ll provide him with in few days,,,, but he said it probably cant be more aggressive than it is now but he ll try , meanwhile i ll keep testing this tune and post.
PS : His customer service is excellent

Hemifever is the only way to go. I think his tans tunes use just a little tweak here and there. But his customer service is A++. Email him with in a hour or two he right back. But them cann tunes hurt my truck. Waiting on the cooler weather so can get to the track and see what the difference is.

is a 2013 5.7 with an 8 speed trans a fantasy due to the 8 speed having the same computer types as the cars?

Probably not a fantasy but I don't think I would want to be the first one to have an 8 speed tuned. Not knocking any of the vendors of course, but it is a brand new trans for trucks.

Ok, today got another tune from Sean and tried it, truck getting better downshifts to first gear when kick down at speed of 44mph and pull hard but when shifts to second gear on wot its somehow shifts slow, throttle response is much better than first tune, told him that and sent him data log and he is working on it , now my smile getting wider coz i know he can make better tune than my old custom tunes, i ll keep on testing this new tune till he take a look at the data log and make the perfect tune for my truck . i ll post after more testing ..

That is the beauty of custom tuning. Every truck responds different, so its nice to have someone like Sean that is willing to keep working at it until the tune is perfect.
