Saying goodbye to my 4th gen

We'll see how happy I am on Saturday when I pick it up. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna enjoy it. I bought this one out in Gonzales.

Saying goodbye to my 4th gen

Down here in TX all trucks have a markup. Lone Star/Big Horns have a $10k market adjustment. Laramie and Longhorn have a larger markup. $12k and up depending on the dealer. Hell, a Ford dealer wanted to sell me an F-150 Lariat for $82,000 before TT&L. I called this dealer as soon as I saw the...

Thanks, man! I'm looking forward to taking delivery this weekend. Can't get back home soon enough. I mean, I miss the wife and kids too, but.....

Yessir. The outgoing 1500 is white as well. And definitely helps with the Texas heat.

Went gas. I don't tow a lot so I couldn't justify the $10k diesel upgrade and then another $10k-ish market price adjustment. Got this one for MSRP.

Saying goodbye to my 4th gen

Thanks. Neither do I. Can't fathom why it kept failing.

Saying goodbye to my 4th gen

Entrances to both my driveway and work are flat. Not particularly jagged or uneven. I turn left into work and right into my driveway at home. Mostly back into the driveway though. I thought about that too. Wondering why always the right front. Who knows?

Nope. Never got an answer. The second time it failed, it was due to negligence. Bolts weren't torqued. :|

Anyone else think their 4th Gen is a Lemon?

My 2016 turned out to be a lemon I think. I just posted about saying goodbye to it. I pulled the trigger on a '22 2500 yesterday. One year of frustration was too much. It had constant suspension problems but only on the right front. No off-roading, no crazy sh*t, just a regular go to work, kid...

Saying goodbye to my 4th gen

After a year of going back and forth with the dealership on right front suspension repairs, I decided to give up and just have some peace of mind. Back story: I purchased in Sept. 2020 a CPO 4th gen 1500. Two weeks after purchase, the RF strut mount and strut failed. 1.5 months later, again...

Lifted 4th Gen Pics - Show Em Off!

Many thanks. In a surprising move, the dealership washed it after it was in there for the week. Picked it up Thursday afternoon.

Technically lifted I guess. 1" factory-raised suspension on 275/65R20 Duratracs. Here she is at the Ag Barn this weekend.

Headlights dimming when turning steering wheel.

Gotta ask my buddy if his barracuda does this?

Headlights dimming when turning steering wheel.

The tech did mention that the electric power steering draws a lot of power and that it would cause the lights to dim. It's crazy I never noticed it.
