I just picked my truck up being repaired today, but I had a slightly different problem. My seats and steering wheel would click off after a few seconds and not work at all. When I dropped it off, the advisor said there is a software update for a problem related to the comfort settings...
So here is the final outcome of my saga. My truck was in the shop just over 15 weeks. The shop admittedly took longer than any of us wanted.
The final figure was $21k in damage. The insurance company and shop paid about $4k in rental car expenses. I think I had a total of 5 different...
Good luck. There was never a discussion of used or aftermarket parts. Both my insurance, State Farm, and hers said it would be all new OEM. My frame took 3 weeks to come in and the body shop painted it and did something else to it.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I am at 10 weeks now without my truck. I filed through the other insurance company which has been without incident. So far they have paid $2,700 for my rental. The repairs are over $24,000. Yes... You read that correctly. The shop said my truck is back...
Just an update. I chose Rob's Collision in Bristol, PA. I was impressed from day 1. My frame came in and they are painting it. My new bed is in... which was a plus because the adjuster wanted it repaired. Still looking at 2-3 weeks in a rental. Rob's said the repair cost is now at about...
I had so many people in the business say it is a simple parts swap and I agree. As long as a Chrysler dealer does it, I feel confident. I'll let you guys know what happens. I know it won't be soon. [emoji57]
My dealer hooked me up with Active Auto Body in Bordentown. I really liked the owner who does all his own work. He is the one who said let Baker Jeep in Princeton do the frame swap. Baker Jeep use to have a collision department which recently closed and Active Auto took their remaining work...
So I was rear ended the other day in my 2015 1500 with 9,400 on the odometer. I had a tri-ball mount in the hitch at the time. Other car was probably doing 40.
State Farm appraiser was here and wrote an estimate for $16,200. He said book is $40,100 and they won't total it. I really want to...
I had this on my 2004 F150. The parking brake was dragging and heating up. When the rotor got hot, I would get the vibration. It took highway speeds for it to start. Just a thought.
I installed factory tow hooks on my 2015 1500 and the passenger side is at least 3/4 of an inch lower than the drivers side. Weird [emoji57]. Everything lined up perfect on the install and I don't see any way to correct it. I'm also not sure why Ram wouldn't have centered them in the bumper...
