    Wow, how do you keep rust-free and no oil? My 17 has zero rust but is fifthy with numerous krown and corossionfree applications over the years.

    Also, big backyard mechanic tip for those doing this...have a cold wet towel as you're guaranteed to burn your hands on the x pipe. The big boy v8 heats that exhaust pipe really quick.

    Its coolant. I'd be changing the water pump soon especially if youre planning any road trips. Use the correct coolant. At 90k, I'd consider replacing all the coolant too.

    I recently got a 2post asymmetrical hoist installed and I'm having a little uncertainty about where to properly place the arms for the lift points. It's an asymmetrical 2post which is designed to allow the front doors to swing open but I feel like I have to move the truck several inches forward...

    Are you cold climate boys idling your truck for a few minutes at -40c? I idle for 5min (really the only time I idle) at those frigid temps. I idle mainly because the windows are frost and I'm out scrapping and clearing snow/ice.

    Pup5w30 & wix xp and don't idle. I live in the northern climate and have not had any piston slap or anything related to that.

    If you're out of warranty, I recommend vavoline maxlift multi-veh atf. That stuff is so good and cheap, it should almost be against the law.

    I'm using the redline 75w140 and have changed it twice so far. But I'm probably going to go amsoil severe gear 75w140 because of the bag. Such a clever idea.

    I rechecked my reservoir level and it seems OK. Maybe slightly lower than the last time I checked (original post date)
