Interesting...I have a '14 3500 and this is my recent experience with my DEF tank..
About 4 months ago, I used a pump at a gas station to fill my DEF up. It clicked off just like a gas pump mind you. I grew concerned after driving around 4k miles and the needle had not moved off "Full". I'd...
As others have mentioned, a locksmith is the way to go for programming. I paid $40 to have a key I purchased off ebay programmed for mine. Just make sure you buy a new key and not a used one because apparently you can't reprogram them. Also, be sure to call around... Prices varied quite a bit...
I bought a new key off ebay for around $40. My local locksmith charged me another $40 to program it. You just have to make sure the key is new and never programmed to another RAM or it wont work (made that mistake the first time).
I bought one of these off amazon and put in my center console. https://www.amazon.com/SnapSafe-Lockbox-Keyed-Lock/dp/B00TONRU9S/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=pistol+safe+car&qid=1554552817&s=gateway&sr=8-6
It's actually pretty good quality for the price.
I drilled two holes in the bottom of it and...
Definitely the 3rd brake light. Easy fix though with a trip to Home Depot as is described in the link Chris above posted. Mine leaked only in the exact same spot as yours. Ridiculous.
2014 Ram 3500 with 6.7 Cummins 78,000mi: Last oil change@ 75,***
Was under my hood yesterday messing with my batteries and decided to check my oil. The truck hadn't been started and it was about 63F outside. Nothing was on my dip stick and when I took the cap off.. See attached pic. This is my...
Thanks for taking the time to make this. Great how to and I appreciate the links in the description! My stealership wanted $298 to replace both mine here in Tulsa Oklahoma. There should be a law preventing them from screwing us over like they do.
Be sure to post your results when you get the wiring harness! I've been very busy lately and have not had the time to verify if this will work or not with mine. As another member recommend, I reached out to a member (@M2mods) which was extremely helpful in getting me schematics and advice. When...
I appreciate the advice but naturally you would exclusively deal with the idiots and not from the people who were successful in their doings. I like to do things on my own ( and sometimes learn the hard way) for the experience and I like to see how things operate. Re keying my lock was an easy...
Thanks for the heads up ! I saw that myself but I didn't worry about it since I didn't have the remote gate.
Awesome, thanks for posting that. After watching it, I can confirm from memory that my key is not keyed for my cylinder. I remember 2 of the pins sticking up still when I inserted my...
Thanks for your reply and recommendations. That lock cylinder is expensive for what it is! Wonder how much someone would want to re-key it too.. I think I may just go for the remote system as advised and not plan on using the manual lock for now.
I need to do some more digging on how the factory...
