got my pistons & caps mismatched.
now replacing my connecting rod bearings, but my crankshaft locks up with just one installed.
what do i do?
undersized bearings don't work, i figured it would work out as the standard size did not.
dodge 2001 ram 5.9L
a cylinder wall has a scratch on it, it was deep enough to catch my fingernail.
after i honed the cylinder, the scratch is still visible but now it feels smooth.
is it okay?
still binding after I replaced all bearings with standard size, & made sure all was clean.
should i try undersize bearings?

torqued all Connecting Rod Cap—Bolts to 30 ft-lbs, and now its impossible to hand-crank with a wrench.
cranks over easy when all Connecting Rod Cap—Bolts are loosened to finger-tight.
lapped all valves, & installed new springs. poured some gasoline into each intake & exhaust port to test leaks,
if it leaked away fast, i lapped that valve again.
exhaust bolts broke off, had to drill them out & cut threads.
