My 04 1500 4.7 rebuild documentary with pics starts today !!
Great thread, it's exciting to see your progress. I too have the Gibson GP316S headers on my 06 4.7 and really love them. In the basement I have Magnaflow catalytic converters waiting to be installed, I might find time in December to work on that project. Keep the updates coming!- panoz3

Giving up on finding v8 manual 1500....
I'm sorry to hear about your struggle to find a manual truck. I know how challenging it can be. I searched for over 6 months to find mine and it was a 4 hour drive to get it. Keep searching, you just might find a winner when you least expect it.- panoz3

Shocks & Struts ?
I would chose either KYB or Moog. I have Rancho quick-lift struts on my 4x4 and really like the stance. Whatever you chose, you will most likely have trouble removing the bolt from the bushing on the lower control arms. Over time rust will form between the bolt and the sleeve in the bushing and... -

Biggest wheels I can run on a 4.7L?
Most likely yes. If the gear ratio is similar to mine (3.55) and the wheel/tire combination is over 30" tall it will feel slow and under powered. Any size lift will do the same. After market bolt ons (CAI, headers, exhaust) will bring power back, but my understanding is higher gears will move... -
Fitted windshield sun shade?
I have several Covercraft sun shades and love them. They fit perfectly and work great. Definitely worth the extra cost.- panoz3

Just bought 02 Regular cab, any mod suggestions to make it look better
The picture you posted didn't show up online or the app, btw. Here are a few pictures of my 06 regular cab. A few simple things I did was paint the front bumper cover to match the truck and removed the "1500" from the doors. I always thought the RAM 1500 looked too long for a single cab.- panoz3
