Manual locking tailgate handle

I bought my 2017 bighorn from a dealer and it didn’t have a tailgate on it, long story. I had to get a tailgate and handle that came with a camera but no locking mechanism. My key fob that I have doesn’t have a button for a lock in the tailgate. I have been looking to see if I can find a lock but not sure what I need. Any suggestions where I could get one besides a dealer?

OEM power tailgate lock wouldn't be separate button anyway, it unlocks when you unlock the doors (mine has this). Do you have wiring from the truck for it as well or just for the camera?

After thinking about it I’m not sure if there was a second wire. I’m going to pull off the cover on tailgate and see if I do.

What he is lifting out at 3:30 is just this


with the Tailgate handle, a Lock Cylinder & what is in the image, will be a Manually Locking Tailgate.

chances are, that your Ram has everything to make the Power Locking Tailgate work.

You just need stuff for inside the Tailgate !!
