    Valve seals wont stay seated.

That's exactly what I did. This seems to be how things work for me. I rebuild the ram,, oh but guess what, I got a problem that I shouldn't have or no one has.

    Valve seals wont stay seated.

Yes, I took a socket and taped them in. I was going in for the second time so I made sure they were seated.

    Valve seals wont stay seated.

Good to know. I wouldn't think the valve seats would contribute to seals not staying in place, though...?!...you wouldn't think anyway.

    Valve seals wont stay seated.

Hey, folks. I've had a problem with my 14 Ram 1500. I did a cam kit install, which came with the cam, springs, shims, pushrods and lifters. It was a purchase from Jay green about a couple years back and noticed shortly after she is eating oil like no other. I knew right away, them ebay valve...

    Excessive rocker arm chatter.

That's a good question. I'm going to look into that.

    Excessive rocker arm chatter.

Yep, I threw a little bit of tig down on them headers and that took care of that chatter. However, with the new top end rebuilt, I can still hear a tap when idling or I can really hear a tap when I'm setting at idle with my lope tune. I believe it goes away when I give it some RPMs. I got new...

I think I just might take you up on that.

    Excessive rocker arm chatter.

Okay, get this! I pulled the tires off and fender covers and fired it up and both damn header flanges had a crack in the welds. How is that even possible? Nearly same locations on the flange welds. Not sure if I prefer the valve train problem or this one. BBK shorty headers. WTH!

    Excessive rocker arm chatter.

Same here. I've done plenty of work to chevy and ford engines. This is the first hemi but it might be one of the easiest engines I've worked on, aside from my issue . Correct. The rockers are on a rail. That's what I figured the shims was for so I'm not sure how removing one would help. The...

    Excessive rocker arm chatter.

No sir, the (aluminum) heads was not resurfaced. The shims and locators are for spring raise, I would imagine considering the new springs was shorter. Also, no work to the valve seat. I just don't understand how removing shims would help but I heard it would.

    Excessive rocker arm chatter.

2014 ram and I've rebuilt the top end with Jay's .5 cam kit, ( cam, lifters, pushrods, springs) It runs great and I'm happy with it but for the life of me I can't get rid of the chatter from the rockers. Never had it before. The chatter is coming from both heads. I have did some research and...

    HV oil pump?

Just curious if anyone is running a HV oil pump or is it even worth it? I see they make them for my 2014 dodge ram 1500 5.7.

    Can't get 12 o'clock on cam phaser?

Sorry for the late reply. Been super busy. Haven't had a chance to get back out to the truck. I do believe my chain might be stretched. Something is definitely giving me a problem with setting the timing. I'll check back in.

    Can't get 12 o'clock on cam phaser?

I'm in need of help. I'm putting my 14 dodge ram 5.7 back together after installing a Jay green cam and i can't get the phaser to line up straight. My timing marks are all lined up. I've got my crank at 6 o'clock but my 6 and 12 o'clock will not line up straight. I can hold my phaser and cam in...
