    End of an era

That's absolutely true, I still love my Ram RCLB. Plenty of room on the back shelf for groceries, or for extra tools, plus I can lay the seat back to take a nap if I want to. My old 2000 F150 regular cab had very little room behind the seat, and the 2018 RC F150s I looked at had even less it...

2017 ram fuel fill tube and hood

This is a known problem for that era of Ram. From the first time I filled up my 2018 Tradesman I was having problems with the nozzle getting stuck. I finally fought with the dealer, and they eventually acknowledged the issue and replaced it for free. In fact when I was talking to one of the...

    above glove box storage bin

When I first got my Ram in 2018, I was a bit annoyed by the open cubby hole because anything I put in it would just slide right out. I ended up making a paper template of the bottom of it, cut a piece of black non-skid toolbox liner, and put that in with a piece of carpet tape holding it down at...

    Preemptive Battery Replacement?

Yesterday I went out to start my 2018 Ram, and got the "click click click". I tried a lithium jump starter, and it didn't help. Checked voltage and it was under 12 volts. The funny thing is, I had absolutely no indication that the battery was dying, and I was out working the day before, with...

My Ram 1500 is the worst vehicle Ive purchased. (Power steering)

I think he's saying you bought a 2015 truck in 2018, and you have no idea what the previous owner did to it. So you bought the previous owners problems.

    4th Gen Mistake?

Since I had the updated gas filler neck installed, I can walk away from the pump. However occasionally at some of the off brand gas stations, the pumps don't work very well.

    4th Gen Mistake?

OP, who has vanished, is from Georgia, and you're probably right. I have 37,000 miles on my 2018, and haven't had a single issue, knock on wood, aside from the steep gas filler neck. He should be able to do a search and see if the vehicle was ever totaled for flood damage.

Rear Axle Pinion snapped while driving

Way back when I had a Chevy Vega. I can't remember if it was a radiator or water pump repair, but it was at the dealership being done under factory warranty. I drove it off the lot and about two miles later the radiator hose started spewing. I turned around and drove back to the dealer. I think...

2018 RAM 1500 Fuel Tank Fill Issue

Thanks for the information. I just looked up under my truck and see that canister up there. It's just zip tied in position. If I take that down and remove it, should I expect a face full of gasoline? I've had the filler neck replaced, but occasionally it's beginning to give me fits if I fill it...

I'm not using the app, and a lot of those details don't show up when you use a browser.

    4th Gen Mistake?

He didn't say if he got the Hemi or the Pentastar. If he got the Pentastar he won't have those issues.

2018 RAM 1500 Fuel Tank Fill Issue

About a year after I bought my 2018 truck, I finally convinced the service manager to put the updated filler tube in for me, and they didn't charge me anything. Initially they played dumb like they didn't know it was really an issue, then one of the service writers told me that he actually had...

Pentastar vs Hemi, which should you choose?

The Jeeps have a much smaller engine compartment than the Ram does. It really could not be any easier to change the Ram air filter.

2018 RAM 1500 Fuel Tank Fill Issue

I had the filler neck replaced in my 2018 RAM, and since then it's worked great at every gas station except one. It's a really low end gas station, and it doesn't look like they maintain their equipment very well. I never top off. Once it clicks off, I pull the nozzle out.

Pentastar vs Hemi, which should you choose?

Absolutely no doubt if you're going to do some heavy towing, you're better off with the Hemi, or a Cummings. But just for using it as a work and sport truck, the 3.6 really does well. I have a Class C motorhome with a V10, so I won't be towing a trailer with my truck.
