    Oil Catch Can ?

    I have one on each of my two 2018's. Each oil change (5k miles), I get about 1 oz of oil. Doesn't sound like much but it's nice knowing it's not making it's way through.

    4.7 thermostat position

    Hello, I have tried to research this to no conclusive avail. I'm working on a 2004 Ram with the 4.7. I just got this motor back together after the famous head gasket failure. I am trying to find out where to clock the "jiggle" valve on the thermostat. I don't remember how the factory one...

    Does anyone have an actual printed, full owner's manual that came with your truck?

    My manual was in the back floor compartment in one truck, and under the back seat in another. I accidentally found them there.

    Price paid to change muffler???

    I bought a Flowmaster outlaw from Amazon, don't remember how much, seems like around 250. Put it on myself in about 30 min. wasn't too bad of a job. Gave me a chance to adjust the duel tailpipes that weren't straight from the factory.

    5W-30 oil is a reconmended oil for the 5.7

    I run 10-30 in two 2018 trucks. One has MDS deleted and one doesn't, no prob with either.

    Forgot to mention I used oil hose from O'rielly auto parts, it's rated over 100 psi or so.

    I've got write up on this somewhere but couldn't find it. Here's a few pics of what I went with. Filter is straight up and not much oil gets spilled. I have this set up on two 2018 trucks and zero leaks or issues so far.

    MDS....Did you turn it off or leave it on?

    I bought a Pulsar and run it on 8 with MDS off and love it.

    I didn't know about the little compartments under the rear floor mats until a couple of weeks when I bought my new floor mats, I found the owners manual in one of the compartments. 2018 model.
