    New Windshield, Rain Sensing Wipers Messed Up

    I’ve got the same problem with the single wipe at start up and random phantom wipes (no moisture) with a factory windshield (never been replaced). It’s a Laramie with factory rain sensing option; not something I added. Outside of changing the windshield, is there any other way to fix it?

    Look up: TSB 18-012-20 (revision unknown). It may apply to your situation. A member on another board reports that this TSB or another larger TSB fixed all the issues that appear to be similar to what you are describing here.

    In uconnect, it’s either on or off. It’s set to on and exhibits the malfunctioning characteristics listed above. When set to off it works like a conventional intermittent wiper.

    What does ECU reset actually do? Wipe it or just reset it like unhooking the battery with the “key” on?

    Rain sensing wipers gel pack

    Removed sensor, removed old gel pack from sensor, cleaned the residual gel pack off sensor and windshield, installed new gelpack and reconnected the wires and it still exhibits same symptoms. Tomorrow night I’ll run the calibration with Alpha, but I’m not expecting much. If that doesn’t work...

    Weird parking sensor issue

    But the weird thing is the front sensors only go haywire when the reverse sensors are off. Otherwise the front and back all work like they’re supposed to. I agree they are sensitive, this is the 5th Dodge vehicle I’ve had with them and they all worked fine. Thanks
