That is correct. Same as the key pin.

120 is a little too much. The dealer I work at charges 1/2 hour labor for any programming or software updates and stuff like that.

New member and owner of a 2500. I've read through this entire post and am trying to keep up. I bought the truck three days ago with 113 miles on it. During the test drive and the drive home that day, no tpms lights came on. The following day, I didn't drive it. Yesterday morning, I started it up and the rear tpms warning lights came on. All four tires were at 64 psi. The dealership obviously delivered a vehicle to me with the tires set at their current psi. Anyone know what the threshold for the rear tires are set at? Curious why no warning lights came on at the dealership. Still waiting a call back from the service director.

The light comes on at a 20% drop which ends up being 64 psi, if you air it up a couple pounds and drive it the light will go off if you care if it goes off.

I think it requires you to put 80 psi in it to reset it. My light came on with the cold temps and I put 75lbs in and the dash still says "inflate tires to 80psi". One gripe about the truck if I had to pick...that damn TPMS nancy

I'm so use to the light I don't even care anymore. I would love to get the stupid TPMS set properly but it seems like I need an act from Congress to do so.
Have gone to two dealerships and neither one would do it.
I run 58 in donny abs 48 in rear.
The computer hate me running 48 in the rear.
SMH I hate the TPMS system!
You should be allowed to take a common sense test and allowed to deactivate it and sign a release of liability form depending on if you pass or not.

TPMS set of 4 is $30 on Amazon.com

I paid $37 for my 2nd set of TPMS for my 2nd set of rims. :roflsquared:

Thanks for the info. I inflated to 80 to reset the tpms and then reduced to 72 for now to see how that works.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, I can now, with a Matco scan tool and my trucks VIN I can reset the thresholds of the TPMS? I took my 15 2500 into two dealers and was told that the option was no longer there. My buddy has that same scan tool and I'm sure I could get the PIN if that's all I need

I don't know that you can do that with a 2015 but if you figure it out, make sure you post up the process!

Wow, thats tempting. I live in Prescott about 2 hours north. Can you give us a little more details? Is this a legit tool or are you gona hack into the PCM or something? Will this void any warranty? Is it reversable if needed?

It's an Autel device, one of the higher end ones. It's not a hack. Basically it does the same thing the witech did, only the option is still available to finish the job. I can set them to any level, and return them to the stock settings if necessary. I've had the thing for 2 days, done my own truck twice and 2 others that came by today. I've got one other lined up for tomorrow. Takes just a few minutes.
