Looking to upgrade the tires after seeing the performance, or lack of, the stock tires in the snow this winter. Also looking to upgrade to 35 x 12.5 R20s on the stock Express 20" black rims.

Need a tire that will be decent on the highway noise wise, good in snow, wet roads. Doubt the truck will see much offroad and if it does, it will be light.

I like the look of both the tires listed, and after a little research am leaning towards the Coopers.

Thoughts?

Between the two I’d say ridge would fit what you want them for more than the coopers. Although I think the st maxx is more what you’re looking for and I’d recommend that, it seems you’ve pretty much made up your mind

I have run the coopers on my 1500 and now my 2500 they are great in the snow and ice plus in the rain. Very quiet as well for a MT. I don't really have any first hand use of the ridges so I can't so one way or the other on those. As for mileage I had 15k on my 1500 and they still had at least 75% life left on them when looking at the wear bars. Only have about 5k on the 2500 so far and they look like I just put them on.

Just checked out the ST Maxx. They are pretty nice too.

So, lets add that to the mix.

It’s a awesome tire in my opinion. I had the ridge grapplers before, did NOT like the ride!! Noisy and stiff!! For a off-road? Great tire, for the hi way the general aTX hands down

I went with the KO/2. Came highly recommended from a friend, and he was right. Excellent in the wet, and possibly the best tire I've had in the snow.

Nice truck. Mine is a QC and I have the black Ram steps. You have the lift I am going to go with, minus the UCAs.

I never thought of checking Amazon for prices!

Thanks!

For reference purposes, the pictures in my tire thread are without the lift. The picture in my signature is with the lift. I installed the lift a couple of weeks after the tires.

Not sure if they offer the size you're looking for but I absolutely LOVE the BF Goodrich Advantage TA I put on a while back. They handle, sound, and wear twice as good as the factory Goodyear's.

Looking for something more aggressive looking than that. Thanks though.

Love my ST Maxx, there is nothing they cannot handle, and just about all the guys in the oil fields here swear by them. And they are way harder on their trucks than I am on mine.

My alternative is to have two sets of tires since the main reason I have a 4WD truck is due to fact that we have about 5 months of winter driving. The truck came with 20" all season tires, but because we get so much snow, I bought 18" rims/with Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires.

+1 for the KO2s. I had them installed in the fall and they've taken me through the winter better than any tire I've ever had.

I just talked a friend into buying them for his F150.
