I thought I’d post a thread to see how often our trucks are getting out into the sun. Since fuel prices have skyrocketed, I find myself moving the truck from the garage to work on other things to take up the time I usually would be driving the truck. Small errands are done in my car since it consistently knocks down 40+ mpg and is comfy. Liking that car more everyday and rack up the miles on it instead. I will get to tow the camper next week and then every other weekend. My habits changed when I realized it cost me $10 to run into town and back with only 1 stop. Gonna wash the camper and truck this afternoon……at home.

I only get to drive mine on weekends as it is, I have a company truck during the week. I drive mine on weekends and usually average 300 to 500 miles per weekend, I plan on keeping on as much as possible. Going to fight the electric "Enforcers" as long as I can! Power to the I.C.E. machines!

Yeah it sucks. My monthly fuel bill went from $1100 to $3500 but we have to get to job sites to make money lol. No win scenario!

About 17 hours lol. I drive my beetle when delivering as it gets 30+ mpg, but otherwise I'm driving my truck. Yeah it hurts when paying $4.75+/ gallon (she's tuned for 89) but dang I love driving it.

I don't know I'm allowed to play since this is in the HD section, but since last weekend. Stormy weather and I had a 200-ish mile round trip to do. My truck doesn't get much drive time this time of year when it's Camaro friendly weather. I have a work provided vehicle for commuting and can use it for personal stuff in a certain radius as well.

2 days ago i pulled one of my boats out of the water to do a break in oil change,a grand total of about 300 meters.before that 2 days prior,went on a dump run,a grand total of about 14 kilometers.my total is 13000 total km's since last july.now that i'm retired i just don't have anywhere to go.
I drove the truck about 8 miles to get the 5’er and forgot the keys so drove home, put her in the garage and took my ranger and washed the 5’er instead. Go tomorrow to bring it back home and pack it up.

I try not to leave home unless i have an appointment, mostly medical.
Then i plan my trip as a circle or figure 8
That way i don't just go to the drug store, i also drive past the bakery & my business mail drop & medical appt., without zig zagging all around town
The only time that i waste fuel, is when i have to drive on the highway to do the passive regeneration
There is not much out the highway except a casino & the only reason i would go there is to use the rest room & get some coffee

It really doesnt matter which one I drive, they all get 12-14 MPG
Didn't drive mine yesterday, but thursday morning I had to put a racoon into the "witness protection" program.

5 days a week, 26 miles to work and 26 back home plus errands here and there with the occasional weekend work.
used mine last weekend to tow our trailer to the lake for some camping. paid 4.16 for reg. gas. today going to use it to get some steel tubing for a new gate. 4.30 around here today. thank goodness I dont need any

Only when I have to, to go to town and get stuff, large loads. Usually 10 miles round trip, 3 times a week. If I can cheat, use Motorcycle. But there are just some things you just cannot get on a Motorcycle like Hoss food and such.

Probably been at least a month since it's left the house. Pulled it out of the RV shed to wash it last week though. Nothing to do with fuel prices, just haven't had to tow anything recently.

Drove mine again today. Returned some speciality tools to a friend that he had generously lent me, picked up some cedar planking to finish a project and got gas before the Memorial Day price hikes set in.

It's rough these days....gas is over $5 everywhere and approaching $6 in many places in the Portland metro area. Add about $1+ for diesel. I'm limiting trips where I can, but will buckle under for a long planned memorial weekend trip. I'm sure I'll be bleeding from my nether regions when that's over.
