Hi All !

Posting this for hubby. He bought a 2008 Ram 2500 with less than 7000 miles on it, yes, that is the correct mileage ! Truck was in an accident, all the passenger side needs to be replaced, (hubby is a bodyman, so it would just be a job for him) it sat for a year. Someone pilfered the tensioner, and one shock from it. It will start on ether, but nothing otherwise, cranks strongly. All fuses are checked and are fine, serpentine belt has been replaced today with a new tensioner. No apparent sound detected from the fuel pump. He's seeing some things mentioned about a fuel bypass, and the TIPM and this not being a great year. We do have 3 other Rams. His friend with the pro scanner is on vacation, so nothing else has been checked yet for possible codes and direction. Anyone who has experienced this, or has thoughts/knowledge on the matter or similar, suggestions are welcome !!

Welcome LisaS

I am not saying that these two sensors are bad in your Ram, but Gen 3 Dodge Rams with HEMI engines have been known to wear these parts out. Always good to have a spare

Hello GTYankee ! Thanks for the info, good idea. I have passed it on to hubby. Reminds me of driving my Cuda around with extra ballast resisters in the glove box.......
Hubby played his gut, and ordered a fuel pump. It started right up, strong & mostly smooth. A little off, but he thinks it will level out with some more time and good ethanol free fuel. It took quite a hit and sat for almost 1 1/2 years.
Thanks so much, you take care and stay safe.
