CarPlay issue

I’m having a problem with CarPlay on my 2019 RAM Laramie-Longhorn. With my iPhone connected to CarPlay and using iPhone maps, the volume of voice giving directions is so low that I can not understand the directions.

Until a couple of months ago, everything was fine and the directions voice was fine. As far as I know I have not made any changes to either the truck audio system or my iPhone to affect the volume. If I use maps with Bluetooth the directions volume is fine.

I thought that maybe it was some setting on my phone, so I tried my wife’s iPhone and I have the same problem with her phone.

I really appreciate any advice on how to fix this issue.

Turn up the volume on your phones. If that doesn’t solve it get Siri talking and turn up the volume on the system at the same time she is active.

There are 2 volume controls on your truck, both controlled by the regular volume knob. 1st is just regular ole radio volume. The 2nd is ONLY active when the phone is actively transmitting sound, ie your directions.

^^^^^^^^ What he said. Get it to give you a direction and at the same time turn the volume UP on your steering wheel control buttons.
