So my code reader came in and i checked and its a P018C so looks like the fuel pressure sensor is bad an easy swap if i dan find one. Question is will this affect the truck in anyway by shutting down or going into limp.

I will try and find a senor locally tomorrow but if i cant i need to drive the truck 600kms tomorrow and don't want to get stranded. Also have a 2500km trip on Thursday. Any help would be appreciated.

Like i said if i can find one locally ill do the swap in the morning, small town and not many options.

Only replace it with a OEM sensor, aftermarket sensors don't play nice with Chrysler electronics

I will call Ram in the morning but if they dont have one ill need to use what i can get. I checked the live readout on my scanner and its not showing any fuel pressure so its shot but the truck runs fine.

The truck will run with-out the sensor reading,it'll just throw a code and check engine light.

I think you're thinking of the fuel level for the gas gauge on the dash, the pressure sensor is differant and mounts to the fuel line under the hood.
