I don't know, I'll have the amount of air in them that supposed to have
To add my fronts are run at 60 psi , that’s to cover the weight of the front end , that’s on the door jamb . If I was to weigh the front end , and look at a weight chart for that E rated tire rated for 3640 @ 80 psi , the chart would reflect the same weight of my front end with 60 psi . Reason for the 80 psi on the rears , that covers whatever the weight of the truck plus the allowable payload , load of rocks , tongue weight of a trailer, pin weight of a fifth wheel etc .

Your 1500 , I’d run what’s on the door jam , especially the front , the back certainly won’t need 80 psi , and I doubt your stock tires are rated the same as the Coopers . I’d probably run your rears at whatever max payload is on the door jam , but probably get away with a bit less if looking for a better ride , just depends on how they wear , mine wear fine at 45 psi empty .
I have always mostly used what the door jamb has called for. If I recall my 2022 Bighorn 1500 calls for 36 PSI all around. I was thinking 36 PSI in a tire that has a max rating of 80 PSI would cause the tire to look underinflated. I rarely haul any heavy loads , so will stick to the door jamb recommendation and go from there. Thanks to all for the comments.

Not knowing much about the 1500 , and air pressure , but I’d run whatever is on the door jam for the front that covers the weight , that doesn’t change . An E rated tire certainly doesn’t need to run its max air pressure, that’s to cover whatever the tire is rated for in lbs . My Coopers are rated for 3640 @ 80 psi. As far as the rears , again the door jam is max air pressure for max payload , doesn’t have to have that much running empty , as said I run nearly half the air pressure needed for max load when running empty, but my 3500 is a lot rougher riding than a 1500 , plus 80 psi wears the center out running empty , there’s just no where near 3640 lbs on each of those rear tires.
My 2014 tires say air up to 39lbs and my 2017 tires say air up to 40lbs

Great question, everyone has their favorites. I have gone through multiple sets of 20" on my Rams and here is my honest opinion. Toyos (because you mention them) I had on my first Ram, replaced the stupid stock tires. I loved them until I realized how much road noise they made (found that out when I replaced them with the Wrangler Duratracs). The Duratracs go on sale regularly and I just thought they looked too cool. Loved those, no road noise and the traction was insane in all types of weather including snow. I replaced those with set #2 of Duratracs but sold the truck. I wished I had kept the tires.

I purchased a new 2017 (new to me) this year and it came with KO2 (BFGOODRICH ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2). I think they look good, but I am waiting for a sale on Duratracs as:
1. They are not even close to the Duratrac for snow or even wet. Don't know who is doing the testing I see, but that is pure real world experience.
2. THEY ARE NOISY!!!

I drive mainly on pavement and I am sure they are all great for off-roading. My comments are for real world people that have to go to work and aren't on dirt or gravel all the time. If you want a really great looking tire that is great in all kinds of weather and you do a lot of pavement driving, then go with the Duratracs.

No, I don't work for Goodyear or any other tire manufacturer. Just a guy who found out that most All Terrain tires are frickin' noisy on pavement.
Good years turn into sounding like a mud tire.

Everyone here has names off the top tires you can hear about in threads. I have Duratracs that are overkill for you but they do look nice. I’m sure your not in the market for laying 1600 for four tires like I did, but I also live in Maine.

Okie doke!! Thank you! I've asked around and there is a guy with the same truck as I have, 2017 ram 1500, he has cooper discoverer at3 4s, and is completely happy with them!!
Great tires, great in rain, snow and ice, but only lasted 28000 miles. Rotated every 5000 miles and air pressure was meticulously maintained.

Well I know I don't like Goodyear, or Firestone, or General. I don't have a man to drive me to and from work when the roads are covered ice, I have me, so I've read lots of reviews. I basically have slicks that i drove on the ice a few weeks ago, felt like I lost a life driving home one evening!! I have very good experiences with Coopers, and my dad ran Toyo on his 2014 ram, which is mine now, I inherited it when my mom passed I'm 2017. So maybe I'm paranoid a bit, but we put our life on top of these tires every day!! BTW Go 49ers!!

I have been running the Toyo R/Ts on my 2wd Ram for a few years now. They did nicely in the ice that we get. DFW is not known for well treated roads. As far as the road noise goes, mine have almost nothing and they are nearing the end of their life. I had nitto ridge grapplers for my last set and they did pretty good. In all honesty the Toyos do handle better IMO on a 2wd in bad weather. My dad has a 13 F150 4x4 and he is not happy with the performance of his Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

I had to go into work about 20 miles away all back roads as the freeways were god awful. Mine did fine. I turned my throttle controller all the way down, and took it slow. No issues. My wifes 4x4 Jeep Grand Cherokee L did not do as well with its factory tires. I have only ran one set of Cooper tires and I didn't have any complaints. I also dont get a ton of ice so I can only offer what experience I have with my set.

I have a 2014 Ram Mega cab 6.4 4x4 and will be using for trailering my camper 30ft for now. also everyday driver I drive a mountain every day so I was looking for wet handling and longevity. I went with the Falken Wildpeaks A/T 4 after running Falkens on my wife's mini van for 5 years after buying them used only for winter and they are still over half tread left. Hoping the Wildpeaks do close to the same. I spent about 3 months looking before I made my decision.

No love for the BFG all - terrains here I see. I once had them on a full size Bronco. Excellent mud and snow traction. But that was 25 years or so ago.
