Can anyone clarify for me the "4-Corner Air Suspension" feature and its benefits? Are there different versions/capabilities, or if it is listed on the window sticker, then it is the same feature/benefit for all?

Stay away from air suspension if you live in a cold climate, it is known to fail in cold temps, and it's very costly to troubleshoot and repair.

Just so you know, there are a number of folks trying to start a couple of different class action suits against Stelantis because Air Suspension issues on the 1500s are so pervasive and so expensive to repair.

Just to clarify, this was asked in a 5th gen forum. While issues with the air suspension system on 4th gens were prevalent and heavily documented, the redesigned system used on 5th gens hasn't seen the same problems. Very few people have had issues with air suspension on 5th gen 1500's. @hifijim don't let anyone scare you away from getting air suspension if you're considering a 5th gen. I might advise against it if you're planning to keep the truck for many years though. As with any brand car or truck, an air suspension system will have issues at some point. But if you're like many people and turn over your vehicles every 3-5 years I wouldn't hesitate to get it if it's something you want. We have it on our 2020 Limited and it's fantastic.

mikeru, the clarification is super helpful and MUCH appreciated. I did post on this 5th gen forum on purpose as I am not considering anything older than 2019. I have a 2021 Blackout Rebel and I LOVE it except for 2 things... It does not have ventilated seats and the suspension is too rough for my wife and our youngest son. They both struggle with car sickness and for them, it is much more of a problem in my truck vs my wife's VW Atlas. So, I'm keeping my eye out for a loaded 1500 with ventilated seats and no off road suspension. So my follow up question is... Does 4-Corner Air help from a car sickness point of view or do I simply need to avoid an off road package?

No one but you can answer that question. Find both a standard 1500 with no off road package or air suspension, and a 1500 with air suspension, and go test drive them both.

You're probably going to get multiple answers to this question, some of which may conflict. I can honestly say the 2020 Laramie we used to own, with the Off Road Group suspension and A/T tires, rode as smoothly as the 2020 Limited with air suspension we currently own. Granted the tires on the Laramie were 6 ply, not 10 ply like your Rebel tires. But even riding in my daughter's 2019 Rebel was very comfortable. And I didn't really notice much of a ride comfort difference. I'm wondering if there is an issue with your Rebel.

But I agree with @mrack, you and your family are the best judge of that. I would suggest taking a nice long test drive with your wife in any truck you're considering buying.

I have 2021 Rebel with Air and I live in sort of cold area. Around -20c or -30c or around there.

I don't know if it's worth trading in your truck just for the air though. Might be possible to get 3rd party air as an option?

You will have judge that for yourself. Tires on mine were 18's LT. You might get a better ride if you changed the tires if you haven't? adjusting the PSI as well?

Doesn't say this in manual. But if more people would treat air suspension like changing oil, I think they would have less problems.

Factory Air is closed nitrogen system. over time the pressure will go down even without leaks. It then draws in outside air, which over time will freeze in cold areas.
Flushing the system and filling it back up every 2-3 years (checking for leaks) it should last longer.

I have a 2013 Ram 1500. I am in Alberta. My air crapped out at 42,000 miles. Dealer quoted $3500 to fix. I did the job my self, buying new rear coils and two front struts. Spent $450 for those OEM parts on sale. Direct swap. I yanked the compressor fuse and tied off the lines. I now have 150k miles on it. The truck has NO DIFFERENT ride quality. Although the fifth gens might be better (why?), I have seen BMWs, Range Rovers, etc with air have trouble in winter. I’d stay away from it and get some air bags if you need to tow. If you live in CA or FL, then I wouldn’t worry about it. But for me, I’ll never rely on four pockets of air to keep my vehicle operational.

I have had three RAM Longhorns (2013 - 2017 - 2020) and all had air suspension ... I never had any issues with any of them and I live in Canada ... I admit most of my driving is around the city and highway, and my theory is, those who go off-roading are the ones who have the majority of problems with air suspension ...

As a reference point. I have a 2020 Limited with air ride I bought new in 2019. Live in PA. Currently has 58,000 miles and have no problems with air, or anything else.
Rides on 22s and it rides like a luxury vehicle. I do off road occasionally but not hard core.

My wife and son both have, from time to time, gotten some motion sickness. Neither are real bad with it so maybe not a direct comparison for you. We drove a 900 mile one way road trip and my son played ipad a bunch in the back seat of my air ride off road group 6’4” bed 1500. Zero motion sickness from either of them the entire trip.

I think the long wheelbase helps too. Not very common but it does exist if you look hard enough.
