Welcome to the forums.

As for the lifter issue, yes they happen, but I doubt it is as bad as most forums, or you tube, make it to be. When it come to reviews, or items like that, remember more people will complain than praise. Just take care of your truck, and perform required maintenance when do, and enjoy it. There are some that will suggest different way to lessen your chance of having it, but for myself I just follow the owners manual, for maintenance and go from there. And, knocking on wood, to date my engine has been fine for the last 80K miles...can't say the same for the transmission (but I have the 6 speed, not the 8).

When it comes to the Uconnect I can't help you, came after my truck (in fact my truck came with no Bluetooth or anything until I changed out the head unit for a Sony). There have been a few threads on here lately describing issues with new phones, that may be of help.

Enjoy your new truck, they are nice.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new truck!

As Tom said above, lifter/cam issues do happen with the Hemi. But it's not prevalent. Obviously the longer you own one the higher the chance of something going wrong. Just keep up on the maintenance and you should be fine. If you're that worried you could look into a Mopar extended warranty. I wouldn't recommend any of the 3rd party warranties out there though.

As far as the uconnect issues go, try taking it to another dealership for a second opinion. What phone do you have? The uconnect in our 2020 Limited works just fine with my iphone 15 pro running the latest version of ios (17.4.1). Can't speak to android phones though.

I find it hard to believe a phone that's been out for a year isn't supported yet. You say that "dodge said you'll have to wait for an airwaves update", but that's a little vague. Initially you said your dealer told you that. Do you know for a fact that your dealership contacted Ram about this, or is it possible your dealership just doesn't want to mess with it? By airwaves update are you referring to an OTA update for your uconnect system? Something about this doesn't isn't making sense. You'd think more people would be complaining about this if what the dealership is telling you is true. I'm sure that lots of people are using that phone.

Try reaching out to member SitKneelBend on this forum. The man knows his stuff when it comes to updates. I read his recommendations and comments to other members concerning the software on the audio systems in our trucks and he always has a trick or two that you can try.

Mikeru, yes that's what they told me , if you Google it ,another of people are complaining about it , my girlfriends phone has the same android 14 software but her 2023 jeep compass doesn't have this problem, but I seen on my phone that they are saying you have to use the cord until an update comes out ,I don't know , just think this sucks after spending this kind of money

If that's the case I'm surprised there aren't threads about that here. Hopefully they remedy that situation quickly.

Hello from Sask., Canada
I have no idea on 5 phones, I just upgraded to a I phone 8 ( the kids said need apple because they use them), I am not so sure about that.
My old flip phone don't work with the hearing aids.

I have had 3 rams with the hemi, and have never had any problems with any of them , other them a Chev guy tried to drive under my 2010 Laramie, Loved that truck, But I love the 8 speed more in the current one, better mileage, more snap.

Don't worry , just look after it, and enjoy. Change oil regular, I have always used Full synthetic in most stuff for years, oil is way cheaper then motors.
I should update the picture some day.
