    Yes, basically. I can't substantiate the "how". But the failed BDA at firewall, once replaced, caused the 8.4 screen HVAC controls to work/respond correctly. I did everything else to try and fix the original issue, this was the last ditch effort. Been working correctly for the last 30,000 miles.

    No worries. Just wondering if I should stick with the factory 8.4 as a replacement or get the UAQ. If I go with the standard 8.4 I may run into the same problems down the road. But, the UAQ might have its own set of problems.

    Center console I believe the hub is receiving power as it has the blue backlighting illuminated. I purchased and tried a new OEM media hub with no change. It is not acknowledging the USB device that is plugged into the port. I have tried a flash drive and my phone and neither connect.

    It's not a formatting issue as the USB drive is already fat32. Media hub is not being read at all by head unit. Plug my phone into it and it won't connect either.
