I'm very satisfied with mine. Hercules Terra Trac AT X-Venture. 265/75/20 10ply. 2019 BigHorn with factory plus lift. What this truck should have come with.
My 19 Classic Bighorn was an Enterprise truck. Had 23k miles and paid $23,900 for it. Dealer had went through it so it was a Certified pre-owned and came with 100k mile warranty.
For fuel system and deposit cleaning I just add can of B12 Chemtool and in 5-10 miles vehicle runs like a top. Do not use on diesel engine, gas only. Diesel use seafoam,
Don't know if you have the eco mode or not, my truck increases at least 1mpg when I drive without the eco mode in my '19 1500 Classic crew 5.7. I try to remember to turn it off every time.
You are up there! My sister just retired from the FEMA Blue team, she got stuck in DC when COVID blew up and she had to report to the Secretary of Agriculture daily for weeks on USFS issues.
She was a Public Affairs Specialist and has been all over the US on fires, talking to media, before she...
Those are awesome, get them at any RV dealer. I pulled a camper for BinL with a '97 1500 4x4 once. Squatted it. Put on the bars/chains locked in and you could hardly tell there was a trailer on the truck.
I read one where a guy bought a used power stroke, oil was black just the same. He said his dad told him to substitute some of the oil at oil change with Quicksilver Marine oil. It was supposedly very high in Teflon or something(help repel water contamination) and would treat the cylinder walls...
At one time Cummins specifically said not to use a Fram filters on the 5.9. The media would break down and clog oil ports to main bearing if I remember correctly.
I do a fuel injection service every 3-5k mi. It is called a can of B-12 Chemtool in tank with 15-20 gallons of gas.
You can replace your own cabin air filter for $25.
I live in semi hilly area. I turned off the MDS and my mileage on dash has increased 1.5 mpg. When time for gas I will calculate at pump. 2019 Classic Bighorn 5.7 3.21 275/65/20 ATs this truck should come from factory with 34" tires!
Real gas is common in Okla. Cost on average .25 a gallon more than alcohol gas. Makes it alot better for fueling you cycles, mowers, ATVs and yard tools.
People who do not drive alot need real gas. The ethanol separates from gas at around 40 days. Looks like skim milk in the fuel. Totally...
I used Mobile 1 oil and Wix filters in my old Colorado I-5 and sold it with 347,000 still running strong with no smoking. Changed filter every 5k and oil every 15k.
Get under truck from front. Reach up behind radiator and straight back along right side of engine and above cross member . You have to drain oil with catch that funnels it into drain pan, or a gallon size ziplock around filter.
The smaller filter makes it possible to change from below as the electric steering box is in the way for the big filters. To run the MO-899 size filter I have to reach in from front- radiator back. There is a tunnel/lane the big filters can be taken to reach the oil filter flange.
We had an officers DPS cruiser for the agency I worked for in Tx. That 4.6 PI without all the smog stuff in that Crown Vic would scare you how fast that cruiser could accelerate.
That 300 I6 Ford was a strong motor. It had no issue smoking the tires on buddies F150. No it was not for drag strip but the I6s were dependable. My dad use to say he would choose GPs 65 Chevy PU with 232 I6 and 3 on the tree to drive it across the country.
4.9? Never knew that. Seems like back in the day we just said the CI #. Ie. Ford 300 I6, .302, 305,350. Seems like the Liter designation started with the Mustang 5.0. I remember seeing the Liter designation on the Pontiac hood scoops but it was like Greek. Just give me the c.i.d.
