    Heres a thought. can you rebuild the old pump using the new pump ? Im sure the fuel sending unit will not be the same, but the pump motors might.

    i pulled the oil pump off. i replaced the timing chain with a new one. i thought i had the little dot at 6:00 (crank gear) when i put the chain on. is it possible i was off 180 degrees ? anyways im tearing into it tonight and hope to verify this real soon. Thanks for the help
