So I pulled plug from cylinder #1,2 & 8. All three looked like this with a rust color. Is this something I should be concerned about. ? They have 10k miles on the plugs. Running 93 octane the whole time.

Pretty rusty for 10k mile plugs imo, is that 93 have ethanol as well? I have seen plenty of plugs like that over the end of a change interval, so it's not a fatal thing, but I might look into running a cleaner like redline si-1 in the fuel system for a while. Maybe add it to your fuel as directed for continual use. The product has showed promise with long term use. Read this link and see why I like the product, it has the right cleaner (PEA) and it has the right UCL a synthetic oil, so it might help with that. Are those the 100k plugs as well? So you know no way that would be a good idea. At a minimum if they are nkg keep them at the 30k interval, if they are the 100k plugs at least 1/2 the interval.

As you can see they aren't corroded, so not the end of the word.

They are NGK copper. OEM plugs. I'll run some of that fuel cleaner and check them at the next oil change. I think our fuel here has upto 10% ethanol, i think. ill read the pump sticker at the next fill up. I found on anther website, the color might be related to octane boost thats added to the fuel. i did run a can of VP octane boost on the last fill up.

What gas station? Might look at options as well. I think shell 93 has a good rep, was it shell?

Yae, Shell, Mobil Exxon, Texaco, and maybe Esso, who's got the tiger in your tank, remember they would give you a pet tiger tail to put on your gas cap!!!

Syn posted a study on fuels, of note Chevron wasn't in this study, but nearly every other gas was. They scientifically measured the detergents, and shell was number one and many tested had vastly different detergent packages. Plus, I know there is some paper out there on shell 93, but since I never used it I didn't have a lot of interest in it. But, it is something to look into for guys running 93.

Found it abc reports, shell 93 highest detergent level at 31, closest gas was a 26. Backs up syn's other post. Now, 87 rated has a different result, but for 93 octane, like I said I know there is paper out there on this. 2 minute 40 second mark on the vid.

There's your issue in a nut shell, octane boost discolours plugs in very short order and VP is one of the worst. If you don't need octane boost stay away from it,not only is it hard on plugs,it'll also kill your exhaust cats in short order if you still have them.
If you're hung up on octane boost, hunt up some Boostane,it's a little easier on plugs then VP,but neither are great

I purchased some Redline Si-1 as suggested. im not hooked on octane boost, just wanted to try it and see if i could feel any difference in performance. My foot and butt couldn't tell a difference. I try to buy Shell 93, however ive been to Racetrac and Town Star (Marathon) and Circle K (Mobil i think).

Ill try to stick with the Shell 93, i have a couple of place i can visit easily.

I still have cats. There the high flow one that ARH uses. not sure which ones they use but it came with the LT headers.
