Ive had 3 new 5.0's. 2 2011's and a 2013 that I put a Paxton Supercharger on. A stock 6.1 Challenger will not beat a new stock 5.0 with equal drivers in both cars. Im probably the least brand loyal person you'll ever meet, but the new 5.0 in a straight line is quicker then either the 6.1...
You made 324.81 rwhp. If you are using a 20% drivetrain loss estimate then that means your making 406.01 at the crank not 388. Dyno's all read different anyway. I wouldn't lose to much sleep over the numbers. Ive dynoed/raced tons of cars, sometimes the dyno results are way high or way low...
I ordered my 2014 Ram Express crewcab 4x4 at the beginning of February and it arrived to the dealership the first week of March. MSRP was $41,840, I ended up paying $33,5xx with all discounts/rebates. Had my financing all ready to go with a pre-approved draft from Pentagon Federal credit union...
I don't know about the Durango, but the Grand Cherokee doesn't have a knob for gear selection. The knob on the center console is for selecting which 4 wheel drive mode you want. I had a 2014 Grand Cherokee before I bought my 2014 Ram.
This is what the Grand Cherokee's look like...
As far as I know the express doesnt have the ability to add the Alpine speaker option. You should have Uconnect 5.0 with base speaker setup. The only audio options in the express are Uconnect 3.0 or Uconnect 5.0. All have base speakers.
Its disabled.
See install instructions here. It will give you a better idea of whats involved.

It installs on the drivers side. It has nothing to do with the factory sub/box. You dont use any factory wiring to install the kicker sub. This is completely separate, not just a replacement for the factory alpine sub. Thats the reason it can be used with any factory headunit/speaker setup.
It mounts on the drivers side under the rear seat. The amp mounts under the drivers seat. You don't plug into/use any existing factory connections. The supplied harness plugs into the amp and the sub, then you run a power wire to the battery, a ground to a bolt under the steerung column, and...
Just installed the sub/amp last night into my 2014 Ram Express crewcab. It is a huge improvement over the base speaker setup. I also have the kicker 3.5's in the dash. It sounds great. This is the base system with the uconnect 5.0 headunit. I would definitely recommend both!
Am I wrong that the sub upgrade (SRAMCQ09) will fit? I thought just the 4.1 amp upgrade wouldn't work with 2013+? Maybe Im confused. I hope the sub i bought will work with my 14 express crewcab.
My wife has a 2012 Kia Optima 2.0 Turbo. Its pretty quick, faster than my 2014 Ram. They can run low 14's stock. The newer Kia's are very nice cars for the money.
Hey guys. Just picked up a new 2014 Express on Friday. Added my truxedo cover from my 2010 Ram and added an 18 inch Mufflex setup already. I debadged everything except the Hemi badge. Windows are getting tinted on Saturday! Truck has the 8 speed with 3.92's and anti-spin axle.
