Have them check the runout on the trailer, not the balancer. These small trailers that use stamped steel wheels have issues. The center holes are often off center. most balancers use that hole to balance the tire. Its very hard to find a shop that has the equipment to do these junk wheels.
On my 2012 it was like you had a U-joint going bad when it kicked in. On the 2018 its pretty smooth, its not sliced bread, but not bad, it will get 21mpg on the highway.
Tom, you need to watch those videos again, yes like everyone has said, hotter is thinner, but viscosity does not increase, just does not change as much as a straight weight oil.
This how multi grade oil was explained to me by a Mobil chemist. 5w-20 means when cold the viscosity is no "thicker" than a 5 weight oil, and when its hot it is no thinner than a 30 weight when hot. But when cold a 5w oil is thicker than a hot 30 weight and when its hot a 30 weight is thinner...
Sir I am sorry but you are wrong! I have owned a Brake shop for 35 years and have seen many " warped" rotors. Extreme heat will change things. And I mean EXTREME heat. Most pulsations come from other issues. like improper tightening, rust on rotor faces, or rust on hub faces, BUT Extreme...
I am talking about changing the oil at 5-6000 once a year and changing the the filter at 10000 once every 2 years. I don't like the idea of running any oil 2 years.
This is what I am talking about, I would be changing the 20000 mile filter at 10000 miles. As for leaving old oil in the filter, it only holds maybe a pint of oil, I am sure that more old oil is left in nooks and crannies in the engine after it is drained than that.
Me too, but I hate to change a 20000 mile filter at 6000 miles if I don't have to. It only holds about a pint of oil so I don't think its a problem like the old large filters, and the syn media should hold up.
Quick question, I do about 5-6000 miles a year. Using PUP 5w20 and Fram ultra filter. OCI of up to 10000 miles according to manual, I don't want to leave the oil in for 2 years, but what about the filter, 2 years ok?
x2, use your head, low use plowing is fine with a 1500. If you go commercial, go bigger. I did a bussiness lot and a few driveways with a 4.7 Dakota for years with no front end damage or any problems so go easy and it can work well.
