2015 Pentastar V6 Towing [SUPERCHARGER SUCCESS!]

This has been a fantastic thread to follow. I learned a lot. I drive a 2014 V6 3.6 4x4 with 3.21 gears. We bought a tt 3 months ago for a 5000 mile trip in the summer. My tt is 3000 lbs unloaded, I figure even all out we are 4000lbs (which is still shy of max). I was a little bit worried about...

Did your extended warranty pay off?

Here's my take. I had an electrical issue once where the rear down to find the issue was costly. It was covered. Parking brake broke. Covered. Since then I had another electrical issue with the headlights, but it was beyond the extended warranty. All in all, I probably came out just past even...

20" To 17" Wheels Any Pros?

So. You wanna sell/trade those 20s factory for my set of 17 inch chromes with BFG ATs on? I no longer need the aggressive tire look or tires for where I live and I recently noved. I've been looking to try the 20's. Where are you located? I'm in Southwestern Ontario. If you are looking to do...

    Tow Vehicle: V6 vs. V8?

It is definetely more than150 bucks in gas a year, but I get you.

    Tow Vehicle: V6 vs. V8?

I'm purchasing a 3300 lbs dry weight tt. Should be about 4000 lbs loaded up with passengers and material, I calculated this so carefully as it is still under the 4xxx lbs weight limit of the 3.21 v6. I live in a flat area. Do you think I'll be alright? Let me put it this way, my 2014 is paid...

What part is this? It's not attached

Question to you then. It was running that way for about 5000 miles. I don't drive on anything too dusty. Funny, I actually let off the throttle if I am behind a truck kicking up dust. Would seafoam clean out any debris I may have picked up in the engine?

    Hikari Ultra LED

I used led eagle (Canada) and available on Amazon. A lot of those lights at that price point are plug and play and very satisfying. Lows were great, plug n play, under the caps etc. I did my brights too, but those do not fit under the dust caps. Has anyone had any luck doing the lows and highs...

What part is this? It's not attached

I had a thought. The pcv runs into the intake through an opening. That was open all of this time, sucking in sweet crisp air and "breathing a little better". Albeit maybe a little warm air, but probably not considering how open the engine bay is with the V6. Would this have been similar to what...

What part is this? It's not attached

I plugged it back in. I swear to you, the truck ran better without it plugged in. Better mpg, felt like it was easier to keep speed on the highway. I don't know the engineering behind this but I am going to look into it. If there is an alternative to plugging the pcv in, I may use it. Is it an...

What part is this? It's not attached

Thanks for your help guys, I'm assuming that hose vacuums by using the intake as a "suck". I'll clean out the end a bit and plug it in.

What part is this? It's not attached

Here we go. Pretty sure it's pcv. But again, I'm not sure what's good or bad about it being plugged in or not.

What part is this? It's not attached

The tube that it plugs into is right there. It looks like the pcv because it attaches to the air intake. What's detrimental to the system if this isn't attached. This probably hasn't been attached in months. Should I continue running it without it plugged in? Doesn't the pcv give me oil blowby...

What part is this? It's not attached

V6 3.6. I went in to get the plugs changed in the winter. nothing at all has been wrong with the vehicle. Has been running well. I popped the hood today to clean the intake and this piece is already out. Maybe the dealer didn't hook it back up. It's dirty now. What does it do? Should I plug it...

V6 Ram owners what is your MPG??

I'm not a brandist, hemis are not immune to losing power and mpgs over time either. Happens to most vehicles.

V6 Ram owners what is your MPG??

When I first got my truck, I used to see absolutely wild mileage all the way to 28.5 mpg on the dash. It was new and I was driving it for mileage on highway. 6 years and 120 000 km later, I get a consistent 20-21 mpg in a tank of mixed driving in city and rural. V6 3.21 quad cab (with beefy at...

    Bluetooth upgrade

I have a basic radio 2014 ram 1500. Picture from a jeep, but it's mine exactly. I'm just looking to add Bluetooth. I have a donor (image also included) from a 2017 promaster 2500 for 80$. Does it have Bluetooth? I do not have the microphone rear view, would this part work instead? Do I need...

    The *clunk* is gone!

So I'm looking for a really comfy ride. Almost Cadillac like, would these do well as that type of shock? You might be going for stiff but I'm going for soft.

What part do you hate about the ranchos? Are they adjustable?

80k miles. My motor could blow up today and I would just drop another Pentastar right in.

RAM Classic 2019 major burnt rubber smell (3+ weeks at the dealer, no fix)

Did they give you a vehicle to drive around during the time it takes to fix it? As I'm sure you've called FCA directly, this would be the route to go. They'll give you a rental (if not done already), and they should have the problem fixed or the truck replaced, it's still under their warranty...

All bad news. Let’s here some good stories

I'm curious as to what made you trade it in. Personally, my plan is to drive it til the wheels fall off. I've only got 130000 km on it so far.

    Most comfortable shocks

That's going to look fantastic. As discussed in this thread, some people don't find the bils to be a comfy ride, especially at that height. But for looks. It's going to look fantastic.

    Most comfortable shocks

After some more research (this never ends, does it?), The quick lift Ranchos are going to be way too high for my small OEM 17inch tires. If I was looking to lift, it would be about an inch, 1.5 max. Rancho doesn't make that adjustable shock without the quick lift (which is not adjustable). My...

    Most comfortable shocks

Yeah, the fox guy told me that too. Let's just out the quality of ride at best possible. Flows over bumps type deal. I'm sure it's possible. My old truck was soft, it was a 95 check. The steering was boat like (horrible), but it was fairly comfy.

    Most comfortable shocks

Looks good. I have 17 inch rims, the overall diameter would be a little smaller, no? I feel like with 2 inches, I may have a little too much wheel well. Can I stick a puck in the back to keep some rake?
