If I were you I would go with the 13-16 because of the fog lamps changing from horizontal to vertical. And if you want an 8 speed it will need to be a 14-16 because that was the first year for the 8 speed.
Warranty issues? Why would the brand of the tire make a difference on the warranty? My forever warranty only restricts me on height and they still allow 35s.
On my 2014 I ran that tire size with the Toyo MTs and there was never any rubbing. I loved the way they looked as far as filling out the fender well. I wish I still had some pictures but I lost them all on my last phone.
Forgot to quote your post. Unfortunately I lost all of my pictures from my last phone that had my 2014 ram. I wish I did. If you google "2014 ram 1500 295/65/R20" a lot of them show up. I just tried to see if I could find one. Sorry I don't have any old pictures.

I also had the 40s and they would shake my house on startup and my neighbors also let me know. I put on some magnaflows and it quieted them down on start up. When you get on it it sounds great though.
If you want 35s on stock wheels with no rubbing I had a 2014 1500 4x4 with the rancho quiklift leveling kit with Toyo Open Country M/Ts that were 295/65R20. They measure out to 35 but are only 11.5 instead of 12.5. IMO they were the best stance and tire I've ever had.
I unfortunately lost all of my pictures of my 2014 ram with a rancho quiklift and 295/65R20 Toyo M/Ts but I thought that it looked great. The leveling kit cleared them perfect and there was no rubbing. I'm unsure about the 35x12.5R20 but the 295/65R20 looked great. It just wasn't as wide.
You are able to take the inserts out but you need to take the whole front grill off. The insert will come out on the passenger and driver side so there will be two separate pieces but I'm not sure if you can pop each individual chrome strip out.
