Got a 14 3500 6.4 dump truck. Heat and a/c is weak. Pulled the glove box and everything appears to working fine but the fresh air door is operating back word. I think. With heat or a/c on the accordion door is in the down position. I assume this is letting outside air in. Is that correct?
Im not scared. I did my 08 5.4 triton with 100k plugs. Changed them at 60k and they were junk. My 6.4 just turned 40k and changing them soon. All your extensions and a universal joint are must have tools with these new trucks.
Anyone know what relay is sending power to this circuit? Alarm comes on with truck off key out. Back up lights on the truck itself are not on so the alarm has its own wire.
My valve body was replaced at 6k miles. It was shifting very harsh so I took it in. The dealer tried loading the up dated software and the program wouldnt down load. The dealer contacted engineering and they said to replace the valve body. The truck has been perfect over 1 year now. Just some...
If your not going to use it dont buy it. The 6.4 is a better daily driver. Much lighter up front and if youve test driven them both you know what I mean. The ctd is a tank and you can feel the extra weight over the front tires. If you need the diesel for towing there is no question. The ctd is...
Had mine done. Bracket wasnt broke but the recall was done. Took about 2 hours no big deal. Dodge/jeep Hillsboro NH is the only dealer that works on my vehicles.
I brought my 6.4 to the dealer to have the recall done and complained about the very hard down shift from 5th to 4th at around 28 mph. Their was a tsb for this. So far its perfect after the software update.
Easy ask to see the invoice. Invoice minus rebates is fair price but I try to take their hold back to. That's around 1k . Also the dealer doc fee. This is a bs fee invented by dealerships that I hate to pay. If they wont show you the invoice another dealer will for the same truck.
Mines a 3500 dump with 430 gear. I think its shifting from 4th to 3rd when it does it.
It really needs to slow down to about 25mph before the down shift. Its only noticeable empty also. When loaded or towing its perfect. I haven't drivin one with the dodge trans but this aisin has 0 torgue...
You cant find a truck any brand that doesn't have this problem. Bumpers, beds you name it. Its not just vehicles either its everything. Companys have traded craftsmanship and pride in a quality product for higher profit margins.
I traded my f150 and thru my 600 dollar sct livewire with custom tunes in the trash. Who would by a used tuner? The tuner itself has little value as it simply stores info. I think a 30 dollar ipod has more memory. The value is in the tune and who does the tune. BTW my sct tuner worked perfect...
My ford had additives in the front and rear diff plus the trans. I watched them put it in when serviced. Maybe that was just for limited slip diffs? Don't know
My local dealer is adding more additive to solve the rear end whine. My friend had his 5500 done. Not sure if your trucks apply but haven't heard anymore complaints from him. Mine is not doing it yet at 1500 miles. Mine has 4.44 vs his diesel with 4.56
My old f150 came with b/f rugged trails witch lasted 84k miles but were terrible in snow. I replaced them with goodyear ats c rated tires and they were junk. Uneven wear, shaking at speed and wearing out quickly. I also lost about 2mpg after the change. I assumed the goodyears would be good...
