    Oil leaking first oil change

Brand new truck with original factory filter, I had no problems. Three oil changes with aftermarket filter, I was always battling a leaky filter. I decided to do my own oil change this last time and use a factory filter, so far no leaks... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Whats your year and mileage? Also,do you have a lifetime warranty?

2016, 24k miles. Factory warranty only. Over a lifetime of car buying I have saved thousands of $ by just saying no to extended warranties. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What DON'T you like about your RAM?

4th Gen. "dislikes"? The horn. No friendly short tap honk. Only a long "F-U!!!" blast. The headlights. Oil filter location. Other than that, I really like my Ram. Oh, and one more thing. The chrome latch on the center console reflects sunlight into my eyes when the sun is at a...

    New Truck Warranty

My personal experience has been if something big is going to break, it happens soon and within the factory warranty. The odds are stacked against you of ever recouping the money you spend on extra warranties. Warranty companies have done the math and will not lose money. Set the $ aside and...

Sick of listening to Ford guys.

Eh, Ram is not going anywhere. The buyback only affects certain models and years, and it is a fixable issue. I think some folks are blowing it out of proportion. Buy what you like and in five years when it's time to get a new truck, Ram will STILL be a great truck, people will have long...

    Hillbilly tarp pool

I witnessed this once back in the day. Some friends took someone's 1970's-ish Chevy pickup, sealed the bed cracks, filled 'er up with water, floated a cooler full of beer, jumped in, and cruised Main one hot summer day. It was a lot of fun at the time, but that couldn't have done that truck any...

    2015 Ignition Orange Package question

You can crawl under your truck and look at the tag on the axle, it will tell you what you have. The build sheet mentioned above also works, however I can't find my link to the web page. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    This seem legit?

I wouldn't bother with feeling too special about this. Hundreds, if not thousands of people received the same "personalized" letter from the dealership. Anyone that passed through there the last x number of years got one. I get them all the time from dealers I've bought from or went in for...

    Mud flaps

My WeatherTech's do overlap on the side about 1". My guess is that if your boards are 1" back, they will fit. I just ordered side steps for my truck. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/13/6b57066589bfdfdb8e37c49dc4fd8d7a.jpg

Coming back to a Ram! What's new?

I have a lot of stop and go in my commute, which kills the mpg. You will do much better than me if yours is all highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Coming back to a Ram! What's new?

I traded in my 06 4x4 4dr Tacoma for my '14 QC 4x4 Ram. The Tacoma is a great vehicle if you don't need the size or towing/hauling ability. For everyday back and forth to work, I went from 20 mpg with my Tacoma, to 15-17 with my Ram. I still love my Ram. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Outdoorsman

Search on YouTube for "Ram 1500 and Ike Gauntlet". These guys pull an old Lincoln on a trailer (over 7000#) down and back up a mountain in Colorado, I've been on that stretch of I-70, it's a loooong stretch of elevation change. Once you see what the 1500 does there, you will feel warm and...

    New Outdoorsman

The 1500 will handle pulling the sleds with no problems. What you have to account for is the payload of the truck. With the 1/2 ton you have 1400-1500# payload, that includes tongue weight, passengers, and anything else you throw into the truck. Most folks find they hit their payload limit way...

    New Outdoorsman

2500 is definitely much better for towing. You may need that depending on what, how much, and how often you tow. The 1500 will be more comfortable and economical daily driver, the 2500 gives you much better towing capabilities. It looks like the 2500 is very nicely equipped. The only thing I...

    New Outdoorsman

I love my Outdoorsman. I like the look of the black 20" rims. I ended up going with the 17" rims because it gave me a better tire for back roads, snow, and towing. The rear defroster has come in handy this past winter. If you are gonna tow you will need the brake controller, however, you...

    2015 1500 Outdoorsman

I like my '14 Outdoorsman. It's all cherry red with the chrome bumpers. I'm a little more old school, I like a little chrome. The Outdoorsman is nicely equipped from the factory with most of the "must haves" options that enables it to be used more like a truck should be used than just a grocery...

    32 Gallon Fuel Tank??

Same thing happened to me on my first fill up. After a few tanks I figured out that I really do have the 32 gal tank. The EVIC seems to run down to 0 when I still have 4-7 gals left in the tank. The most I've put in at the pump is 30 gals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Black wheel skin

But for the time/effort/headache/upkeep of plasti dipping vs the ease of install and uninstall of these covers make the wheel skins an interesting option. My concerns for the skins are: do they hold up well? Scratch easy? Don't look "added-on" or kitschy?... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
