You should also replace the fuel filter again when you replace the in tank lift pump. The fuel filter should be replaced every 30k miles according to Ram but most ecodiesel owners do theirs every 20k miles. I do mine every 15k miles just to be safe and make sure I don’t have any issues.
$31,187 for the truck brand new in 2006. $21,350 in mods and I am not even close to being finished with the truck. I have probably 100+ hours in labor that I have done all myself and that is not included in the mods price. At this point, I will probably be buried in my truck because I don't ever...
Sounds like you are low on fluid. Remember to check the level with your truck in neutral after it has fully warmed up. If the fluid level is ok then you may have dislodged/torn main filter seal. Be careful revving the engine to get it to engage, you can burn up clutches very quickly like that...
I'm leaning towards a wrist pin or rod bearing. Sounds like you have enough knowledge to know the difference between a knock and an exhaust leak. Never heard a blown head gasket make any engine noise. I have heard a bad wrist pin and bad rod bearing noise go almost completely away when the...
I know it is possible to do the conversion because I have seen it. I know the plug is not the same so that will need to be changed. Do a little more searching and I am sure you will find a how-to. I think the reason you don't see it more is due to the cost. After you factor in the cost of 8 new...
Just to give you a heads up... there are coolant ports not far from the end of the exhaust bolts. If you drill just a little too far then you will hit the port and then you must replace the head. So if you ever see coolant come out of the manifold bolt hole then you know what you have to do.
Yes, camber can cause a pull if the camber difference between both sides equals 1 degree or more. Usually the pull will favor the side with lowest camber.
You are smelling Freon. Your evaporator that is inside the HVAC box is leaking. The reason it feels slick is because a small amount of A/C pag oil is mixing with the water that is draining out of the box. The entire HVAC box needs to be removed and separated to replace the evaporator. You should...
Looks great HemiSport07! This has been on my mod list for a while. The newer seats are way more comfortable to me. I plan on keeping my truck for a long time so I will wait until the perfect set comes along for me to grab up. Where did you source your set?
DON'T touch the adjustment screw! If you mess with it then you will never get it right again. If you have a constant high idle and you don't have any vacuum leaks then I would lean way more towards a sticking IAC valve. If you were having a very choppy, fluctuating idle then I would say TPS...
Call a dealer and give them your vin number. They can look at your vehicle options list and tell you if you have keyless entry or not. If you don't then you can buy the module and it just plugs into the back of the instrument cluster. Buy some fobs and have the dealer program them.
You must have something major going on to be getting 5-6 mpg. You should have serious running problems that you didn't seem to mention. If you had a leak, then you would know it. I am actually kind of stumped?
I wouldn't put anything in there unless you want water to start dripping on your head from your sunroof. Those are the front sunroof drain tubes. I hope you didn't pull on them too hard or you may have pulled them off of the sunroof tray and cause a leak. Hope this helps.
How are you going to wire around the amp? The Bluetooth will no longer work through the mirror with an aftermarket head unit. It will have it's own mic that you will have to install.
OEM switch and OEM connector kit. Sounds like the pins in the connector are loose and not making a good connection. I also always see problems with aftermarket switches. If it has anything to do with electrical try to stay with OEM.
When you say they didn't put your o2 sensors in, I'm assuming you are referring to the rears. The rear o2's need to go behind the cats instead of in them. You also will need o2 defoulers for the rears to keep the check engine light from coming on. If you still have the check engine light after...
I really like the custom bezel in the very fist pic. If you find a source for something like that please let us know. I am eventually going to do the 4th gen seat swap in my truck and I am going to make the heated and a/c functions of the seats work in my truck and would love to have a bezel to...
