    Transmission thermostat bypass failures?

    I put the bypass on my 4th generation 6 speed, it runs 30 to 50 degrees cooler. I received some feedback from an "expert" that it's bad for my transmission. Has anyone had issues?

    Well, 9 months and 10k trouble free miles, but this morning I start it up and get a check engine light. Sounds and runs fine, no messages. I hate dealing with the local dealer..
