    My trans runs about 185 , up to 200 when towing long distance. I have a 180 deg tstat and tune The 8 speed has a thermo disk that is designed to heat up the tranny quicker using coolant and also maintain the optimum temp of 190 deg.

    well, I did press it a bunch of times with the echo drive shaft and it did nothing.
