    Educate me on winches

I'm going to have to agree with most other people on staying away from harbor freight. Warn makes pretty inexpensive and respected winches, the smittybilt 8k I had on my old TJ was plenty and had no issues. Imo a reliable winch is worth the extra cost, depends on how much you think you'll use it...

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

I've been parking in this same spot for a year now, on my yard, and just got a ticket for being "on city right of way" smh. Only a $15 fine, so luckily parking over the curb won't cost me as much as the replacement 13"antenna I put on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What DON'T you like about your RAM?

Hood looks like it's ready to fly off...

Yeah I've noticed it as well w my truck especially after a 2k mi drive from Fl to WV. Seems odd for an aluminum hood to noticeably vibrate over the firewall where it's bolted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2015 ram need alignment after new wheel and tire setup with -18 offset

I don't remember the who but he thought a similar vibration was due to cv joint and dropped his bilsteins down from 2.8 to 2.1 hoping it would fix it. Turned out to be a bad tire, and your offset isn't that extreme imo. Good luck tho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Exhausts?

^ been seeing a lot of positive Carven reviews here lately, but theres quite a few routes to go with exhausts. I'm a newer guy to the forums but after googling/reading every relevant thread and riding in a buddies ram who had one, I decided to go w an electric cutout exhaust. Depends what...

    Looking for recommendations on exhaust

Have been driving with the 3" Racelands cutout exhaust w/ qtp electric valve for about a week now. With the 5.7 and open valve it growls, but having the ability to close it and send exhaust through stock mufflers is a nice feature. Out the door for $345 probably my favorite mod so far tbh Sent...

I have $1500.00 left of my budget..

My dad's Laramie has the electric folding steps, guess I'm younger so kinda anti nerf bar but I gotta say they're sleek. Also adds a bit of luxury to the truck that momma seemed to like lol Personally I'd go with the hood, but can't go wrong either way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Leveling parts

Ive heard different things regarding wheel backspacing/offset and relation to rubbing, added stress, etc. I took an educated risk when ordering wheels and tires because the internet was my only of automotive guidance lol. I prefer a little stance too, my advice is to just stay away from wheel...

    Leveling parts

A spring compressor I'm pretty sure is all you really need regarding the Bilsteins if you're the one doing the labor. I have mine set to 2.8 but others on here will argue about added stress on joints, so go 2.1 if you want to play it safe. As for wheels and tires I'm with you on more rubber, go...

Don't know what else to do

IMO, w/ no budget since you haven't given one, I'd sell the stock wheels, take off the nerfbars, add a tool box, idk this thread feels like pimp your truck lol. Personalization is what's cool to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

I'd figure a 4.7 w a cutout would put out a pretty decent growl Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Ordered a Racelands 3" cutout exhaust along with a QTP electric valve. Turns out that QTP ships me another Y pipe instead of the electric valve, so its a manual cutout until the correct part arrives. Stock mufflers and no CAI or chip yet. Also installed a 13" stubby black antenna that looks...

    Bilstein Help

I debated as well and did a little research. I dont tow or haul enough, so installing rear bilsteins just weren't worth it for me. Guess it depends on how you use your truck

Agreed. Theyre sharp but not over done. Give Method wheels a look if you haven't, their wheels kinda have the same attitude

    Help!! 17s, 18s, or 20s??!!

I run trails occasionally so the 17" Pro Comp steelies with 4.5bs x 0mm offset I went with actually turned out much cooler than I expected. Looks kinda rough but it gets complements. Im also running something like a 305or315X70 mtr, so basically a 34.5x12.5

Lifted 4th Gen Pics - Show Em Off!

Havent heard much about Superlift kits but after looking it seems they make a decent set up w free shipping. And thanks, I was worried the 35s would look too stuffed but the bilsteins are great even at max height. anyone know if cv angles become an issue if you don't lower the 5100s down to...

Not quite as tall as I want it to be right now w only bilsteins up front. Might start 'uber'ing the big rig in my free time to save some cash for an RCX 6" + install. Seems like RC has improved their quality and offers the best lift for the price. New to the ram forums so the knowledge available...

Guide to Leveling & Wheel and Tire Sizing for 06+ 4wd Ram 1500's

I like the Bilsteins 5100s a lot, theyre decently smooth on and off road, give the truck a much better stance, are pretty inexpensive, and have yet to cause any problems after 10k miles set @2.8. My only complaint, which is completely my fault and not the bilsteins, but due to lack of funds and...
