For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

Thank you for taking the time to provide the members of this forum with this information. I know that I am not the only one who appreciates it!

    Synthetic Oil

I am absolutely NO EXPERT so please take this reply with that in mind. I cannot specifically answer your two questions but maybe I can offer a possible consideration or two. Also, I have the 6.4, not the 5.7. I really don't know if this makes a difference. I don't know how avaliable Amsoil is...

Replace TMPS When Installing New Tires?

Love your last two sentences! People seem more and more to be just a flock of sheep with no thought process of their own........ Following their "leader". Pathetic.

    Synthetic Oil

I have been using this SS oil for a few years now after initially using PUP. I have not done a UOA yet and change it at around 4,500-5,000 miles. Currently at around 58,000 miles and the engine is quiet. I don't tow much weight, but carry a heavy camper 99% of the time.

Rear Air Bags and Height Adjustment

Adjusting the linkages is what I had in mind all along. I agree with the quick and easy part; I just didn't know for sure if they were adjustable or that this was an option. I don't know if the truck has had this lean since day one, but I noticed it about two years ago. I figured that it wasn't...

Rear Air Bags and Height Adjustment

This is something that I had not thought of but I like the idea. I will give it a shot when I have the time to devote to it. Thank you!

Rear Air Bags and Height Adjustment

Thank you very much for your thoughts and input and yes, it is a 3500. This is all great advise and I have already checked my front and rear axel weights when fully loaded and excessive weight is not the issue. I did not weight each side, but the bottom line is the right side of the bed is lower...

Rear Air Bags and Height Adjustment

After doing a search and not finding the information that I am looking for, I am hopeful that someone with more experience and knowledge than myself will chime in. My 2017 3500 has the factory rear air bags. I haul a heavy slide-in camper most of the time and the air bags seem to do a good job...

    35w or 55w HIDS

+ 1 on this! Wasted enough time and money on LED's, that according to many reviews, "light up the night!". Might work for some, but not for me (projector housings).

    Synthetic Oil

I just can't seem to break my Amsoil SS 0W-40 habit. I feel that I need the 0W where I live but also need the 40. I don't tow very often, and when I do the weight is only around 1,000#'s or so. But 99% of the time I carry a very heavy camper, around 3,700#'s, probably quite a bit more. I often...

    Oil Filter Thread

From what I have seen over the years and in my travels ALL Wally Worlds are like this. My wife and I hate going to WW but when we do we typically seem to comment on the class of citizens found in them. Many are down-right scary. We have found that the best time to go there is early on a Sunday...

ram forum please educate me on some oem replacement bulbs

I used what were probably the same Westinghouse aircraft landing lights on my vehicles for many years. The last car I used them on was a '82 Subaru that I sold in '92. I referred to them as my "moose lights". They were amazing lights, weren't they? And cheap too, around $12-$15 per bulb iirc...

ram forum please educate me on some oem replacement bulbs

From my research and experience, the best type of bulb depends on whether you have reflector or projector headlights. I have projectors and initially tried a couple different brands of LED's in both the low and high beams. While they put out a lot of light, the low beam pattern sucked (for me)...

    Synthetic Oil

I completely understand your point; I am in the same situation until my warrantee expires. As for your particular Service Manager, remember that incompetence is rampant these days. Good help, or any help at all, is hard to find. Therefore we are on our own to make decisions that are best for...

    Synthetic Oil

I hear ya and you're correct; my situation could be worse! In case you you are considering using a higher viscosity oil in your Highlander, I will share some information with you that I came across in my research. Others on this forum might also find this interesting and hopefully benefit from...

    Synthetic Oil

I have read your posts today with great interest as I need to make a similar decision: what oil to use in a Toyota 2.4L GDI Turbo engine used in a recently purchased Lexus. In my case, the North American owners manual calls for 0W-20; 5W-20 may be used if necessary but MUST be replaced by 0W-20...

    The stupid front driveshaft greasing....

I am able to grease mine with removing any parts. 2017 3500. Took a little time to locate the grease fitting the first time doing this but now I know where it is. I give mine a few pumps of grease every other engine oil change, since I use 5,000 mile oci's.

Thank you for your research on this. I will be switching from the Ultra to the Endurance based on this information. For the cost difference of a few dollars twice per year why not.

Drag Link recall update per FCA

Don't feel bad that this happened without your consent or knowledge; the same thing happened to me. Truck was at the dealer for another reason and they welded the nuts without asking me. I didn't find out about it until I picked the truck up. This was many years ago and apparently I was the...

    Synthetic Oil

Thank you both for your reply's and for not bashing me for posting what I did on this forum! I replaced the factory fill at 1K miles with M1 0W-20 and plan on sticking with this weight at least through the warrantee period. Going to stick to 5K oci's rather than the suggested 10K but will...

    Synthetic Oil

Hello all, I decided to post this question here primarily because the main oil site forum (which will remain nameless ) to me seems antagonistic and just not very friendly. Vehicle specific forums are not much better. Not my style and very much the opposite of this forum. I will...
