New member with our 'new' family ride

I think your wife is the smart one. She liked having more room and talked into a 2500 without saying a word. Now you can haul/tow more stuff which means you can do more work around the homestead. Clever and diabolical that wife of yours. Welcome sir.

    New Houston Member, Howdy guys!

I have only been a member for a few months and have learned a couple things about this forum. 1-There is a ton of good information here based on trial and error. Most of these folks are pretty sharp. 2-They will help you out if you can provide detailed info about a problem or something you want...

DIY - Overhead Console Upgrade W/Sunglass Holder

Looks pretty darn good. Which mounting bracket did you use ? I'm with you, not a fan of the Ram overhead console without someplace for sunglasses.

    Hemi mechanical fan delete

I don't know that I could recommend removing the mechanical fan for anyone that is towing heavy loads. I think that may be to much stress for the electric fan. I do not tow with my truck and usually only haul around 800 to 900 lbs in the bed when I am hauling anything and have not had a problem...

    Hemi mechanical fan delete

Not sure how that works. You are already running an electric fan on the 5.7, you are just eliminating drag from the motor by removing the clutch fan, then replacing the smaller electric fan with a slightly larger electric fan blade but still using the DC current from the previously removed...

    Hemi mechanical fan delete

I don't know if this will help you Bo but I have an after market electric fan and a 192 degree thermostat in my 2015 1500 5.7 that I have been running for about three months after removing the mech fan. As of this post I have not had the dealership tune it for temperature adjustment and as of...

    Hello from Communist... CA

Dunno if I would call California "communist" that may be a little insulting to actual communist. Welcome to the forum. You will see that there are a lot of good, helpful and experienced folks here. I am still learning things about my first Mopar product.

the life of Raiden (ramportin1's truck)

Ok let me start off by saying I am not usually real big on Mods/customizing my vehicles but dammit ramportin1 you made me late for work today reading your damn blog. Sure I told myself I would just read a couple pages and get caught up later. But noooo the work you have been doing kept my...

Good afternoon from a MOPAR noob

I am new to the world of MOPAR having been a Ford truck owner almost all of my driving life. I purchased a used 2015 Ram 1500 Tradesman, 4x4, crew with the 5.7 Hemi, 6 spd trans. So far I have been impressed with the truck, minus a few quibbles, but all makes have those. I have been stalking...
