Same boat for me and my 15 ED. 60 K miles and spun a main. Took 3 months for new complete engine + NEW oil cooler I was at the dealer once a week, on the phone with RAM does not know anything also once a week. Good luck and PS, I still have the truck with 110 K miles.
If your truck went through the class action suit, you have a extension on your warrantee. Call Ram cares and have them put you in touch with the person handling claims. I think its under a code "w79". Maybe it will help. I had a DEF pump fail at 107k & 5+ years. They covered it.
My 15 ED did that also. Dealer replaced DEF pump and tubing. Lucky it was covered under extended class action warranty. Was told it would have been a $900 repair. Good luck with yours.
Don't forget the class action extended warranty on these non modified trucks. I hade a dealer try to charge me for repairs when I had 106k and 2 months past the 5 year mark.
Your not the only one to have troubles with Ram dealers. In five years dealers have my ED four months. In the shop now for two weeks waiting on a DEF pump. As soon as I get it back I will go for a new gas truck. Love my ED but to many problems.
Got a DEF message to day. See dealer. Saw dealer, New name, new faces. So 2 weeks for an appointment? Asked if truck would go into limp mode. Half an hour later service writer said I don't think so. OK. 5 miles down the road new message, will shut down in 200 miles. Sad part is 70 miles to the...
My 2015 crew is at 101000 miles, 40000 on a new engine N/C per Ram. Tow yearly AZ to ID and back 7500 lb TT plus gear. No complaints here. Also go off road and never use Lo range. Would buy a new one but I figure I'll get 250k to 300k miles.
