How did this water get in?

Never mind, guys, I got her done. Just had to remove those black strap brackets to get the insulation panels to pull forward (13mm socket), then just followed the directions and Youtubes. For some reason the new passenger side vent was tougher to get in than the driver side, but they both...

How did this water get in?

OK, I have the replacement vents at hand and will do the rear seat modification. Is there anything to know about pulling back the insulation to get at the vents?

Tim, thanks. They are on the way.

How did this water get in?

My local Dodge dealer said they can't get these parts right now. Does anyone know if the vents sold by Orlando, FL-based "Nismopar" on Amazon are anywhere near the same quality as Mopar parts?

How did this water get in?

Thanks guys. Here's a stupid question that I couldn't find an answer to in my owner's manual: How do you get the upright seat back to fold down -- and I assume this gives access to those vents?

How did this water get in?

OK, so I have noticed after a decent rain -- which has been a scarce article in West Central Texas these past several months -- that the truck cab smelled a little musty. This afternoon, I got ready to run an errand and the smell was really strong, coming from the back seat of my 2018 4X2 crew...

How to reset oil change indicator?

Will have to try this, as I have been getting the "Oil change required" notice for the past few days and I last had the oil in my 2018 changed 2,100 miles ago -- just before Thanksgiving. Dip stick shows full and clean.

    Best Tires for Ram 1500?

Hmmmm. Lots of posts and very little agreement, as the Alberta tire dealer said. I have a rear-wheel drive Pentastar six Ram 1500, 2018, and I am at 66,000 miles. The OEM Goodyear Wranglers have treated me just fine but they are getting thin, with very little traction on anything but dry/sorta...

    Vehicle Warranties?

I have 50 miles to go before I hit 60,000 on my 2018 Ram with 3.6 Pentastar, but it has been so wonderfully reliable I just don't think I will pop for an extended. Best truck I have owned, and I have owned Fords, Toyotas, Nissans and Mazdas.

    Bing! Oil change required

No. I was unaware of this feature. Will try to reset.

    Bing! Oil change required

I am getting this message on my screen the past few days. I switched to Pennzoil Platinum and the Fram Ultra filter in September, about 4,000 miles ago. Does my engine and its sensor network know something I don't? Engine oil level is fine.

    Tire pressure sensors

Thanks RM. I had inflated to 40, but went back and gave them each another 4 pounds and the light went off.

    Tire pressure sensors

For some reason, once the weather cools down a bit, the tire pressure gauge on my 2018 Ram starts flashing and simply will not "shut up," even after I air the tires past 40 PSI. At 41K miles, I am out of warranty, but suspect this would not be an inexpensive fix. Any advice?

3.6 Pentastar oil filter price comparison (walmart)

Wallace's World has the Fram Ultra and Pennzoil Platinum in stock. Think I will go this route.

How Many Miles Can I Get Out Of The Pentastar?

This has been a great thread, except for the blip of Internet name-calling, but how do we ever get by without that? I am not very truck savvy despite owning Toyotas, Mazdas, a Frontier and three F-150s including the 2.7 EcoBoost, which I liked. That said, my 2018 4X2 Tradesman quad cab has been...

Who here has punched their tire pressure gauge?

They were aired up about six weeks ago by the dealer during an oil change. Maybe they are all losing air, I guess.

Who here has punched their tire pressure gauge?

First had this thing come on one morning last winter when it had been below freezing overnight. I thought, sure, tire pressure drops in the cold. And sure enough, it went off an hour later. Lately it has been coming on intermittently. Sometimes stopping and restarting helps. But now the dang...

    2wd 0r 4wd question

I like the comment by Marine Les, about the "wisdom of the years" factor helping compensate for the lack of four-wheel drive. There is a lot to be said for it. Nearly 50 years ago, dad and I were hunting blacktails on a friend's sheep ranch south of Eureka California on the Bear River. This was...

    Living with a 4X2

O.R.T., I lived for most of 50 years in the Rogue Valley and would have a 4X4 there just because I spent so much time hunting and fishing in the Cascades and Siskiyous -- or running over to Klamath or up to Bend.

    Living with a 4X2

JPT, I'd have 4WD in your shoes, too. Unlike you, I bought a $25K vehicle. I may regret not having 4WD, especially if I move to a different climate from the desert. Agree on AWD. The little Forester I traded in was a very capable vehicle in all sorts of conditions.

    Living with a 4X2

Well, I just got 22.4 mpg hand-calculated on my first 356 miles. The Pentastar and the 4X2 drive train contributed to that. I'll be honest and own up if and when I get stranded because I don't have a 4X4. There's some real truth in what Jeepwalker said about growing up on a farm with 2-wheel...
