    "Green" A/C???

    Refrigerant isn’t the issue. It’s the HVAC box allowing hot air in with the cold air. You’ll notice on a 60 degree day with the temp set to cold with AC off you’ll get warm air from the vents still. If you have a 2500/3500 you’ll have R134A anyways. If you have a 19 or 20 there’s a TSB to fix it.

    There’s an intrinsic value to just being able to drive it and not worry about emissions failures or bad fuel. I think I would have a diesel if it wasn’t for finicky emissions.

    In Iowa I believe it. We have too much elevation change and wind here in central Oregon. You’re either going up or down and half the time there is a steady head wind.

    You won’t see any improvement with a heavier tire with aggressive tread.

    If you haven’t changed the tire size in the BCM you really need to. It makes a difference. Also the truck really wakes up after you get some miles on it.

    6.4, 8 speed, 4.10 gears, and 35s here. I average 13.5 overall and regularly pull down 15 on the highway. It’s a great truck, drives nice, and handles a load well. More than enough power. The 8 speed auto really made a difference. The old 6 speed is pretty terrible.

    I haven’t heard a clunk since I removed my hitch. I’ll get some pops once in a while when off pavement and maxing the front suspension out but that’s pretty normal.

    Spacers are a janky way to level a truck. Thuren 2” coils and Fox shocks are awesome.

    I have 4.10s and am very happy with the truck. I put 35” Toyo AT3s on it and other than riding better than the stock Transforce tires I’ve noticed no difference in power.

    Manifold bolts are an issue on all big 3 V8 engines with aluminum heads. It just happens. The 6.4 is a solid engine with few issues. It is also noisy, especially cold. Use the correct oil and send it. Don’t be one of those who uses Euro spec 0w40 and expect no issues long term.

    Armor All is a terrible product. If that is vinyl I would use 303 Protectant on it.

    Snow Chief springs are stiffer to support the plow weight. If you’re not plowing get a set of Thuren coils and shocks.

    I love the interior on the 5th gen 2500. The rear seat isn’t as spacious as the 1500 but it works. There are enough differences that the 4th gen mud flaps will not fit however Weathertech and Husky make them for the 5th gen with flares.
